Cristopher Sánchez has off day in loss to Reds
Cristopher Sánchez allowed five runs (one earned) on four hits in three innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.
Advice: It was just one of those days for Sánchez, who didn’t have his best command and was let down by his defense, who recorded three errors behind him. The lefty’s velocity was actually up one mph on Tuesday, but he had trouble commanding his changeup and recorded three walks to go with his four strikeouts. It’s likely just a minor bump in the road for Sánchez, who still has a 2.96 ERA on the season, and should be started with confidence next week against the Angels.
