    • Quality start in rookie duel
Schwellenbach came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Orioles, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Matched up against fellow rookie hurler Cade Povich, Schwellenbach produced his first quality start in three trips to the mound for Atlanta, but the 24-year-old right-hander was on the hook for a loss until Matt Olson went deep in the top of the eighth inning. Schwellenbach may have earned himself a longer stay in the majors with Wednesday's performance, but he'll take a 6.32 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 15.2 big-league innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the Tigers. • Collects another win
Suarez (4-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the A's, giving up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning and striking out one.

Advice: For the second straight game, Suarez benefited from a Padres walk-off homer, with Wednesday's coming off the bat of Jackson Merrill. The right-hander has been tagged for a run in only one of his 26 appearances since the beginning of April, and on the season Suarez sports a sparkling 0.61 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB through 29.1 innings. • Fans 12 in no-decision
King came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the A's, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over five-plus innings. He struck out 12.

Advice: The right-hander set a season high in Ks and took a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning, but after allowing back-to-back singles to begin the frame, King left the mound and watched as Wandy Peralta let both inherited runners cross the plate. King hasn't been tagged for more than three runs in any of his last five starts, posting a 2.20 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:8 K:BB in 28.2 innings over that stretch. He'll face a much tougher test in his next outing, on the road early next week in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:26 am

    • Dazzles in no-decision
Miller allowed two hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller rebounded from his worst start of the year by producing his third scoreless outing in 2024. Two of those scoreless efforts have come over his three starts in June. The 25-year-old has a 3.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 80:24 K:BB over 82.2 innings through 14 starts this season as he continues to impress as part of the Mariners' strong rotation. Miller's next start is projected to be a challenging road outing in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:43 pm

    • Bryce Miller tosses seven scoreless vs. White Sox
Bryce Miller tossed seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts in a no-decision against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller was brilliant on Wednesday, holding the White Sox scoreless over seven frames. He scattered two hits and two walks while striking out eight batters on 12 whiffs, tossing 64-of-92 pitches for strikes. Miller unfortunately lost the win when the bullpen blew the one-run lead in the ninth. The 25-year-old right-hander has posted a solid 3.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and an 80/24 K/BB ratio across 82 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Guardians in Cleveland on Tuesday. • Strikes out six in no-decision
Civale did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Civale loaded the bases in the first inning but got out of the jam and pitched well other than a solo home run by Seiya Suzuki in the fourth inning. Civale left the game an out shy of a quality start with a 2-1 lead, but a Cody Bellinger three-run homer in the seventh prevented him from earning his first win since April 9. On the season, Civale now owns a 5.20 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB in 14 starts and lines up to start next Tuesday against the Twins. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:45 pm
    • Aaron Civale holds Cubs to one run in no-decision
Aaron Civale held the Cubs to one run over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision Wednesday.

Advice: Civale, who struck out six, left with a one-run lead, but it was quickly blown in the seventh. It’s not exactly true, but it does feel like Rays starters have about five wins between them this year. Civale has earned his losing record for the most part, but it’s kind of ridiculous that he hasn’t recorded a victory since Apr. 9. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:13 pm
    • Spencer Schwellenbach goes six in quality start
Spencer Schwellenbach yielded two runs in six innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s the first quality start in three tries for Schwellenbach, though he had nothing to show for it afterwards. The Orioles were very aggressive in swinging at 49 of his 89 pitches, and while they swung and missed just nine times, they didn’t make much hard contact at all. Schwellenbach figures to remain in the rotation for now, and he’s a decent play in deeper leagues with the Tigers next on the schedule. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:38 pm
    • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies.
