    • Juan Soto back in right field Tuesday vs. Royals
Juan Soto is back in right field for Tuesday’s game against the Royals.

Advice: Soto is back patrolling right field for the first time since leaving last Thursday’s game against the Twins with left forearm discomfort. Clearly, the Yankees aren’t too concerned about the issue moving forward if he’s already back out there in the outfield after missing just a handful of contests to undergo further testing. • Requires more rehab time
The Rockies elected not to activate Jones (knee/back) from the 10-day injured list Monday as previously planned, as the club determined that the outfielder needs more time in the minors to find his proper swing, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Before he was placed on the IL on April 30 with a low-back strain, Jones had gotten off to a disappointing start to the season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 with a 35.9 percent strikeout rate over 103 plate appearances. After starting up a rehab assignment in mid-May, Jones played in just three games before being shut down with a left knee injury, but he was cleared to report back to Triple-A Albuquerque on June 2. Though Jones hasn't reported any issues with his back or knee since returning to action, he's still hitting just .231 with a 36.7 percent strikeout rate in his seven games during the second rehab assignment. The Rockies likely want to see Jones find some success in the minors prior to activating him, so the 26-year-old could remain with Albuquerque through at least Thursday before the Rockies return home Friday to begin a series with the Pirates. • Joey Estes gives up three runs, loses to Padres
Joey Estes yielded three runs and eight hits in five innings Monday in a loss to the Padres.

Advice: Estes probably deserved a little better tonight, but he was thoroughly outpitched by Dylan Cease while falling to 2-2 with a 4.78 ERA. He’ll remain in the rotation and face the Twins this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm

    • Yields one run in quality start
Harrison allowed one run on four hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Monday.

Advice: Harrison had just nine whiffs and three punchouts in the outing, but he kept the Astros off the scoreboard until the seventh frame. The left-handed hurler finished with his second straight quality start and allowed fewer than three runs for the first time since May 7. Harrison hasn't given up more than four earned runs in any of his 14 starts this season, though, helping him maintain a respectable 3.96 ERA despite a mediocre 1.33 WHIP and 68:22 K:BB across 77.1 innings. • Kyle Harrison strong for six against Astros
Kyle Harrison surrendered one run over six innings Monday in a no-decision against the Astros.

Advice: Harrison went without walking a batter for the second straight outing tonight and lowered his ERA to 3.96. There isn’t much mixed-league value here yet, but he’ll get there eventually if he continues to lower his walk rate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:05 pm
    • Falls to Padres on Monday
Estes (2-2) took the loss against San Diego on Monday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Advice: Estes managed to get through two scoreless frames but gave up one run in each of his final three innings. Two of the tallies came on solo homers -- one by Jake Cronenworth and the other by Fernando Tatis. Estes had allowed just one run on three hits over 11.1 frames across his previous two starts coming into Monday, and he's allowed one or zero runs in half of his six MLB starts so far this season. That should give him plenty of buffer room in holding onto a big-league starting role, especially considering the injuries that have hit the Athletics' rotation. • Crushes another homer
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Monday's win over Colorado.

Advice: Lewis blasted a Nick Mears curveball 435 feet in the eighth inning, stretching Minnesota's lead to 5-0. The Twins third baseman has impressively hit four homers in seven games this season, requiring just 24 plate appearances. Overall, Lewis is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with five runs scored, six RBI and 2:5 BB:K. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:32 pm

    • Lewis blasts fourth home run Monday
Royce Lewis went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Lewis’ home run was his fourth of the season in only seven games played. He’s done quite a job at making up for lost time. Lewis hit 15 home runs with a .240 ISO in 58 games last year before putting on a power display in the playoffs as well. He continues to show that his power is legitimate. Lewis just needs to stay on the field to be a major contributor this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:12 pm

    • Returns to lineup at DH
Soto (forearm) will start at designated hitter and bat second Monday in Kansas City, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Soto missed the previous three contests with left forearm inflammation but is feeling well enough to return to action for the start of the Yankees' series against the Royals. He will be eased into action at DH, and it's possible the team will keep him there for a bit in order to protect his forearm. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:19 pm
