    • Jorge Soler drives in three runs as Giants win
Jorge Soler went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs on Wednesday night, propelling the Giants to a 9-5 come-from-behind victory over the Pirates in extra innings.

Advice: Soler got the Giants on the board in the fifth inning with a run-scoring single off of Jared Jones, trimming their deficit to four runs at 5-1. He also plated a run with a ground ball in the eighth inning that made it 5-4. The 32-year-old slugger also added an RBI single in the 10th — extending the Giants’ lead to 7-5. He scored later in the frame on a single by Luis Matos. With his two-hit night, he’s now slashing .213/.304/.362 with five homers and 12 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm
    • Corey Seager homers in third straight game
Corey Seager went 2-for-3 with a homer, single, and two walks on Wednesday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Seager gave the Phillies fits all night as they didn’t retire him until his final at-bat. The home run was his eighth of the season, third in as many days, and sixth since May 6th. He’s shaken off a slow start to the season in a big way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:35 pm
    • Jesús Luzardo fires eight innings, earns win
Jesús Luzardo pitched eight strong innings allowing just three hits and no earned runs in a 1-0 win over the Brewers on Wednesday. He struck out four and walked none.

Advice: For the second straight start, Luzardo was tremendous despite falling fastball velocity. His fastball averaged 94.1 MPH on Wednesday, down nearly two ticks off this year’s average and three from last season. Still, his fastball, changeup, and slider each induced six whiffs while the changeup was especially tough on right-handed batters. There’s concern though with the velocity coming off an early season elbow strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm
    • Jorge Soler gets dropped to sixth in Giants lineup
After leading off the last four games, Jorge Soler has been dropped to sixth in the Giants lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Luis Matos, who hit third last night, is in the leadoff spot tonight. Soler is 4-for-18 with a couple of walks since returning from the injured list last week. He’s at .204/.295/.358 overall in 38 games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:50 pm
    • Takes seat Wednesday
O'Neill is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Tampa Bay.

Advice: O'Neill is getting a routine day off after starting in the last five games and 13 of the previous 14 contests. Rob Refsnyder will serve as the Red Sox's designated hitter, with Jarren Duran and Wilyer Abreu covering the corner-outfield spots. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:23 pm
    • Hitting bench Wednesday
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After playing the final three innings of Tuesday's suspended game earlier Wednesday and finishing 1-for-3 in Baltimore's 3-1 loss, Mountcastle will get a breather for the regularly scheduled game. Ryan O'Hearn will step in for Mountcastle at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:31 am
    • Ryan Mountcastle takes a seat Wednesday
Ryan Mountcastle is out of the Orioles’ lineup Wednesday for the third time in five days.

Advice: The Orioles are DHing Adley Rutschman today, taking away Mountcastle’s spot. Mountcastle is in a 1-for-24 slump that’s dropped his OPS from .842 to .733. He’d be playing through it on practically any other team, but the stacked Orioles are treating him like a role player. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 am
    • Knocks two home runs
Tovar went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Tovar put together his first career multi-homer game with solo blasts in the fifth and seventh innings to bring his total up to seven for the season. He's been locked in at the plate for most of May, registering at least a hit in 12 of his last 13 games with six of those being multi-hit efforts. Tovar has entrenched himself in the No. 2 spot in the batting order against righties and has seen himself hitting leadoff against lefties. He's now second on the team with 53 hits and tied for second with 21 RBI. For the year, the 22-year-old is slashing .279/.313/.468 with 21 extra-base hits, 22 runs scored and an 8:60 BB:K in 204 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:05 am
    • Homers again Tuesday
Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Seager had a rough time against Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts to start the day. However, he'd turn his night around with a solo home run off Jeff Hoffman in the eighth inning, cutting Texas' deficit to 3-2. The long ball extended Seager's hitting streak to six games -- he's gone 7-for-22 (.318) with three homers in that span. The 30-year-old shortstop is now slashing .246/.335/.383 with seven homers, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored through 200 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:13 am
