    • Solid outing in sixth win
Taillon (5-4) got the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.

Advice: Taillon was sharp on Tuesday and has now picked up back-to-back wins for the first time since his first two starts of the season. What's even more impressive is how those last two wins have come against tough opponents in the Phillies and Orioles, with quality starts each time. The veteran now has a quality start in five of his last six outings and his ERA is down to 2.99 over 87.1 innings. He's scheduled for one more start prior to the All-Star break, Sunday against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Powers offense in win
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Bregman was the only Astro with multiple hits Tuesday, delivering an RBI single in the fifth inning and a two-run homer in the seventh. The long ball was his second in four games, perhaps signaling a strong second half to come. He's batting .294 (25-for-85) over his last 20 contests compared to .254 on the year. The third baseman has added a .727 OPS, 11 homers, 44 RBI, 42 runs scored, two stolen bases, 18 doubles and two triples across 381 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm

    • Drops fifth straight
Rodon (9-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Rodon allowed four straight hits to open the bottom of the first inning, including an Isaac Paredes three-run homer that extended Tampa's lead to 4-1. While Rodon would blank the Rays over his final three innings, the Yankees couldn't climb out of the early hole in an eventual 5-3 loss. It's the fifth straight loss for the 31-year-old left-hander -- he's struggled to a 10.50 ERA in that span, allowing 27 earned runs across 23 innings. Overall, Rodon sports a 4.63 ERA across 19 starts (103 innings) this year with a 1.26 WHIP and 105:30 K:BB. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently slated for this weekend on the road versus Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Alex Bregman swats go-ahead homer to beat Marlins
Alex Bregman slugged a tiebreaking two-run homer on Tuesday, propelling the Astros to a 4-3 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Bregman’s go-ahead two-run shot off Marlins reliever Huascar Brazoban in the eighth inning wound up being the difference in a low-scoring affair at Minute Maid Park. It was his 11th round-tripper of the season and second time he’s gone deep in eight games since the start of July. He also had a run-scoring single earlier in the contest off Marlins starter Trevor Rogers. The 30-year-old impending free agent is batting .298 (37-for-124) with three homers and 16 RBI over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:43 pm

    • Rafael Devers drives in three more runs in win
Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, three RBI, and a walk in a 12-9 win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Devers has been an RBI machine of late. Tuesday was the seventh time in eight games that he drove in multiple runs. Coincidentally, the Red Sox have also won seven of their last eight games. His OPS also climbed to .976, good for sixth-highest in the entire league. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:31 pm

    • Rodón has another rough start in loss
Carlos Rodón allowed four runs on five hits in four innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodón now has a 10.37 ERA over his last five starts, allowing 27 earned runs in 23 innings. He’s continuing to put up solid strikeout totals and posted an impressive 45 percent whiff rate on Tuesday, but that doesn’t matter much when he continues to give up so many runs. The average exit velocity allowed on all contact for Rodón was 94.1 mph, which means when hitters are making contact, they’re doing so with authority. The fastball has been particularly problematic with teams seeming to key in on it. The average exit velocity on Rodón’s fastball today was 100.9 mph. Yes, that was the average. He’ll carry a 4.63 ERA into a tough matchup against Baltimore this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:58 pm

    • Taillon stays hot in win over Orioles
Jameson Taillon allowed two runs on four hits in six innings while striking out seven in a win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Taillon has been lights out over his last six starts, posting a 2.37 ERA with 28 strikeouts across 38 innings. He has begun to lean on his sweeper and sinker a little more, which has also allowed him to use his four-seam fastball more in two-strike counts. That’s allowed him to record 29 strikeouts across his last 26 innings. The veteran has a 2.99 ERA on the season and needs to be added in far more fantasy leagues ahead of his weekend showdown against the Cardinals. If he were to be traded to a contender like the Orioles, his fantasy value would get a major boost. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:15 pm
    • Jorge Soler scratched Tuesday due to illness
Jorge Soler was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays due to illness.

Advice: Giants general manager Farhan Zaidi told reporters Soler was feeling under the weather, which led to his removal from the lineup, despite the presence of lefty Yusei Kikuchi on the mound for Toronto on Tuesday night. It’ll be Thairo Estrada moving to designated hitter with Brett Wisely entering the lineup at second base. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:18 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Soler was scratched from the Giants' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Toronto due to an illness, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Soler may still be available off the bench Tuesday, but his sickness will ensure he begins the game in the dugout. In his absence, Thairo Estrada will move into the DH spot while Brett Wisely starts at second base, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:07 pm
