    • Heading to Triple-A
The Mets optioned Scott to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old top prospect has pitched well in his first five big-league starts with a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 27.2 innings, but with the Mets having three scheduled off days coming up surrounding their two-game series against the Phillies in London next weekend, they'll use the opportunity to limit Scott's innings in his third professional campaign. The 24-year-old right-hander should rejoin the big-league rotation later in the season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:40 am
    • Tosses five frames in no-decision
Scott allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over five innings in a no-decision against Arizona on Thursday.

Advice: Scott gave up a pair of third-inning runs but otherwise kept the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard. He got through only five frames, though, as he was pulled after throwing 91 pitches. The rookie right-hander continues to hold his own in the majors, as he's given up three or fewer earned runs in four of his five starts thus far. Collectively, he's posted a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB through 27.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm
    • Christian Scott allows pair over five frames
Christian Scott went five innings and allowed two runs with four strikeouts in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: Scott gave up four hits while issuing one walk. The two runs came on a double that scored a pair off the bat of Ketel Marte, and outside of that it was a strong outing for the 24-year-old rookie. Scott has held his own in his rookie campaign with a 3.90 ERA and 21/5 K/BB over 27 2/3 innings. He gets another chance to impress next week with a scheduled tilt against the Nationals. • Francisco Alvarez homers Thursday in rehab game
Francisco Alvarez (thumb) crushed a three-run homer on Thursday in a minor league rehab contest for Double-A Binghamton.

Advice: Alvarez kicked off his minor league rehab assignment by catching five innings behind the plate and slugging a monstrous three-run homer in his second plate appearance. The 22-year-old backstop, who is recovering from last month’s thumb surgery, will likely need a couple more tune-up games before returning to New York. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:29 pm

    • Zac Gallen leaves start with hamstring strain
Zac Gallen was removed from Thursday’s start against the Mets with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Gallen will presumably head for some additional imaging the determine the severity of the injury and determine how much time he’ll wind up missing. The 28-year-old righty lasted just six pitches into Thursday’s outing at Citi Field before leaving with a trainer. He’s a near-lock to wind up requiring a trip to the injured list and will most likely wind up missing a couple weeks. It’s a tough break for the Diamondbacks, and fantasy managers, since Gallen has been one of the most durable starters in the fantasy landscape over the last few years. • Diagnosed with hamstring strain
Gallen was removed from Thursday's start against the Mets with a right hamstring strain, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen left Thursday's start with trainers after giving up one hit and throwing only six pitches, as he aggravated a hamstring injury that originally popped up April 26. An exact return timeline is unclear, but he'll almost certainly miss at least one start and is likely to end up on the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:14 pm

    • Exits Thursday's start
Gallen exited Thursday's start against the Mets with an apparent injury, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.comreports.

Advice: Gallen threw only six pitches and failed to record an out before being pulled from the contest. More information should be available after Thursday's game, though he has battled hamstring tightness a few times this season, most recently on May 18. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:43 pm

    • Zac Gallen exits with trainer after six pitches
Zac Gallen left Thursday’s start against the Mets with a trainer after just six pitches.

Advice: Not good. The positive news here, if that’s at all possible, is that his abrupt exit doesn’t appear to be arm-related. Gallen was limping slightly, but was able to walk off with a trainer after facing just one batter during Thursday’s series opener against the Mets. There should be an update on his status shortly. • Getting breather Thursday
Rizzo isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Rizzo owns a .351 OPS across his past six games, so the Yankees will give him a rare day off Thursday so he can clear his head. DJ LeMahieu will shift to first base while Oswaldo Cabrera starts at the hot corner, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:26 pm
