      Wyatt Langford drove in a run while going 2-for-4 with a double and a steal in a loss Friday to the Mariners.

      Advice: Langford drove in his run in the first with an RBI single to make it 2-0 Rangers. It’d be the last run that Texas would score off Castillo or the Seattle bullpen.     • Luis Castillo holds Rangers to two runs over six
      Luis Castillo struck out seven after six innings of two-run baseball against the Rangers on Friday while picking up a win.

      Advice: Castillo scuffled in the first inning, allowing a pair of RBI singles. After that, the right-hander was excellent while keeping the Rangers off the board over the next five frames. The six strong innings see him lower his ERA on the campaign to 3.32 with a 92/24 K/BB. Castillo’s next chance to pitch is scheduled for Thursday against the Guardians in Cleveland.       Greene (5-2) allowed two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Greene coughed up a solo homer to William Contreras in the third inning before Milwaukee scratched across another run in the fifth. Greene generated 14 swinging strikes but struggled with his command, matching his season high with five walks. He needed 105 pitches to complete five frames. Greene is sporting a 3.61 ERA with an 89:37 K:BB through 14 starts this season. His next outing is lined up to come in Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:09 pm
       
    • Simeon Woods Richardson gives up grand slam Friday
      Simeon Woods Richardson struggled in a no-decision against the Athletics on Friday night, giving up four runs on four hits over his four innings of work.

      Advice: The 23-year-old hurler also issued four free passes on the night while striking out four batters. All of the damage done against him came in the opening inning as Woods Richardson loaded the bases on a pair of walks and an infield single, then Shea Langeliers crushed a two-out grand slam. He settled in after that to keep the A’s off the board over his final three frames, but the damage had been done. He got seven whiffs on 80 pitches on the night, posting a minuscule CSW of 20 percent.       Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's win over Tampa Bay.

      Advice: Riley hit an RBI double in the first inning before hammering a two-run homer in the second. It was just his fourth homer of the year and first since May 3, snapping a 23-game drought.     • Tarik Skubal gives up four runs in loss to Astros
      Tarik Skubal struggled in Friday night’s loss to the Astros, giving up four runs on six hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

      Advice: Skubal recorded only two strikeouts in the ballgame while allowing one base on balls. He kept the Astros’ offense completely off the board and was engaged in a scoreless pitcher’s duel heading to the sixth inning. They broke through there though, as Jose Altuve doubled, Alex Bregman smacked an RBI triple, Yordan Alvarez followed with a sacrifice fly and Mauricio Dubon tacked on a two-run homer. Skubal got 13 swings and misses on just 84 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent.       Skubal (8-2) took the loss Friday in Houston, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Skubal failed to produce a quality start for just the fourth time in 14 outings this season. After completing five scoreless innings, the Tigers lefty allowed all four of his runs in the sixth, capped by a Mauricio Dubon two-run homer. In 86 innings this year, Skubal sports a 2.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 98:16 K:BB. The 27-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start against Atlanta on the road.       Austin Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

      Advice: Finally, some signs of life from Riley. His home run was hammered 107.3 MPH and soared 422 feet. All three of his batted balls were hit at least 104 MPH and this feels like it could be the end of Riley’s prolonged cold start this season. Rotoworld Friday, 7:04 pm
