• First appearance as catcher
Goodman went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Giants.

Advice: Goodman has primarily been a bench bat for Colorado since being promoted April 24, though he made his first career start and appearance at catcher in Saturday's game. Elias Diaz (hand) remains out, which is giving Goodman the opportunity to back up Jacob Stallings. The injury to Diaz isn't projected to keep him out in the long term so Goodman may not have enough time to gain catcher eligibility, though he would become an intriguing option behind the dish if Diaz remains sidelined longer than anticipated. • Three hits out of leadoff spot
Soler went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 14-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: This was the second game in a row Soler's hit leadoff, though the Giants may try any number of players there to replace Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder). Soler has gone 4-for-9 with a walk over two games since he came off the injured list. The 32-year-old is slashing .219/.308/.383 with five home runs, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored and six doubles over 146 plate appearances. If he sticks at leadoff, Soler's RBI production could dip, though he may score more often if he can get on base at a healthy clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 pm

  • Collects three hits in loss
Meyers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Meyers was the only Astro with multiple hits in the contest, and his fifth-inning solo homer plated one of the team's two runs. The outfielder has gone deep in back-to-back games and has gone 6-for-10 with four RBI over his past three contests. Meyers hit a career-high 10 long balls last season and is already halfway to that mark with five homers through 102 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm

  • Third straight game with homer
Ward went 2-for-6 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Ward was the only Angel with multiple hits in the 13-inning marathon. He's logged three straight multi-hit games, swatting a homer in each of them to reach 10 long balls on the year. The outfielder is slashing .275/.320/.494 with 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 45 contests. Ward continues to hold down a near-everyday role in left field as one of the more productive players on the Angels' roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm
  • Productive in extra-innings loss
Adell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Adell has gone 9-for-36 (.250) with four homers, nine RBI and one steal over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is up to eight homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight steals, four doubles, a triple and a .250/.320/.528 slash line through 122 plate appearances. Adell had some brief moments of success in previous years, but he's finally doing enough to stick in a full-time role in right field in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:59 pm

  • Clubs homer Saturday
Garcia went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the Angels.

Advice: This was Garcia's third homer in his last four games and his 11th long ball of the campaign. The outfielder is hitting just .190 (8-for-42) over his last 10 contests, but five of his hits in that span have gone for extra bases. He's slashing .251/.297/.491 with 35 RBI, 24 runs scored, four stolen bases and nine doubles through 46 games as the Rangers' usual cleanup hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm

  • Wenceel Perez drives in four runs to lead Tigers
Wenceel Perez smacked a pair of triples and drove in four runs on Saturday night, leading the Tigers to a come-from-behind 8-3 victory over the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder walloped a two-out triple off of Zac Gallen in the opening inning, but was left stranded at third. He then cleared the bases with a two-out, three-run triple off of Joe Mantiply in the seventh that gave the Tigers their first lead of the day. He also tacked on a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. Perez has been a revelation for the Tigers so far this season, slashing .300/.373/.533 with three homers, 12 RBI and three stolen bases in his first 102 plate appearances at the big league level. • Adolis García collects 11th homer against Angels
Adolis García swatted a solo homer to help the Rangers to a win in extra-innings Saturday.

Advice: García swatted a solo homer in the sixth inning of Patrick Sandoval to get the Rangers on the board. That’s the 11th homer for the 31-year-old slugger, and the 35th RBI. García has been one of the more productive power-hitters in baseball this decade, and nothing has changed thus far in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:04 pm

  • Jo Adell homers in extra-innings loss to Rangers
Jo Adell homered and walked twice in an extra-innings loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Adell took Jose Leclerc deep to give the Angels a 2-1 lead and Adell his eighth homer of the season. The 25-year-old has really impressed thus far in 2024, as the three-reach game now has his OPS up to .847 to go along with eight steals and 21 RBI over 108 at-bats. It’s too early for victory laps, but those who have believed in Adell since he was a prospect have to feel a little more sane watching this run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm
