Yoshida was removed from Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees after being hit on the hand by a pitch, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before exiting the contest.

Advice: Manager Alex Cora said Yoshida is fine, but the Red Sox are expected to hold the designated hitter out of the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays with Toronto set to bring lefty Yusei Kikuchi to the hill. Cora expects Yoshida back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:27 am

    • Mashes grand slam
Melendez went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Melendez put the Royals on top with a two-out grand slam in the top of the sixth, drawing 12 pitches in the at-bat before jumping on a hanging cutter from Blake Treinen. The 25-year-old also recorded an infield single earlier in the contest, giving him his first multi-hit effort since May 10 against the Angels. Melendez is batting just .152 in June, and Saturday marked the first time this month in which he's strung together hits in back-to-back contests. On a positive note, he now has three homers in his last eight games to go along with 10 RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:31 am

    • MJ Melendez hits grand slam in win over Dodgers
MJ Melendez hit a grand slam to help the Royals to a 7-2 win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: With the bases full, Melendez took Blake Treinen deep to give the Royals a 5-2 lead. The 25-year-old outfielder has been a significant disappointment in 2024, but he’s at least starting to show some pop with three homers in the month of June; all of them coming in the last eight games. • Brandon Nimmo has two hits, two RBI in win
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth. It’s been a tough year for the 31-year-old, but he has two hits in each of the two games against the Padres, so perhaps he can turn it into a much better summer. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:36 pm

    • Tending to Grade 2 hamstring strain
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Saturday that Harris has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and is without a timetable for a return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harris was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after straining the hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. Given that Harris' strain is of moderate severity, he'll likely be sidelined for well beyond the minimum 10 days. Atlanta selected the contract of outfielder Ramon Laureano from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction, and he could end up filling Harris' spot in the big club's everyday outfield. • Michael Harris II diagnosed with Grade 2 strain
Michael Harris II has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

Advice: If it wasn’t bad enough that the 23-year-old outfielder landed on the injured list with his hamstring strain, his MRI exam revealed it to be a more serious strain, which means that he’ll be sidelined for even longer. The Braves have yet to provide a timeline for his recovery, but it’s going to be longer than just a couple of weeks. Expect Ramon Laureano to see increased action in the Braves’ outfield in the meantime. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:22 pm

    • Placed on 10-day IL
Harris (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: As expected, Harris will now be sidelined for at least 10 days while nursing a strained left hamstring. Ramon Laureano was selected from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Harris on the major-league roster, while Spencer Strider (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list to complete the corresponding moves. • Michael Harris II hits IL with hamstring strain
Braves placed OF Michael Harris II on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: No word yet on the severity of the injury, but fantasy managers should anticipate Harris missing at least a couple weeks, even in a best-case scenario. The 23-year-old upper-echelon fantasy contributor, who hits the shelf with a .653 OPS with five homers and eight steals across 278 plate appearances through 67 contests, suffered the injury during the opening frame of Friday’s contest against the Rays while running the bases. There should be some clarity on his return timeline in the coming days. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:32 am

    • Bound for injured list
Atlanta will place Harris (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harris had to make an early exit from Friday's game versus Tampa Bay due to tightness in his left hamstring, and the team has already deemed his injury severe enough to warrant a trip to the IL. The 23-year-old outfielder will receive an MRI on his hamstring Saturday, at which point the team will have a better idea of how long he will be out. In the meantime, Harris' absence opens a spot in Atlanta's outfield for J.P. Martinez to potentially see consistent playing time. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:25 pm
