      Advice: Olson did most of his damage in Game 1, swatting a solo homer and adding another RBI on a single. The first baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season with a .230/.332/.410 slash line and just six homers through 44 games after going deep a career-high 54 times last year.       Cease allowed five runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out five batters over four innings in a no-decision against Atlanta in the first game of Monday's doubleheader.

      Advice: This was Cease's worst outing as a Padre, as he pitched a season-low four frames and gave up a season-high nine hits. He had previously given up five earned runs in an outing, but that came over six frames against Philadelphia. Cease was uncharacteristically hurt by the long ball Monday -- after giving up just three homers across his first nine starts, he yielded a pair of home runs (though both were solo shots) versus Atlanta.       Advice: Henderson has homered in four straight games and continues to lead the majors with 16 long balls. The shortstop's sixth-inning blast off Sonny Gray was all the runs the Orioles could muster Monday. Henderson stumbled a bit in the middle of May, but he's quickly returned to form and is now sporting a .271/.351/.610 slash line with 34 RBI, 35 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 45 contests.       Advice: Diaz was also robbed of a possible homer by Jo Adell at the right field wall in the ninth. That was actually his softest hit ball of the night. His EVs in the game were 110.7 mph, 107.8 mph, 103.7 mph and 98.4 mph. His hard-hit rate now stands at 51%, which is particularly impressive in combination with a 14% strikeout rate.       Advice: Henderson accounted for all the Orioles’ runs on the night. He blasted his league-leading 16th home run in the sixth inning off Sonny Gray, who hadn’t allowed a single hit at that point in the game.       The Padres are calling Xander Bogaerts’ injury left shoulder inflammation.

      Advice: It’s an odd diagnosis, being that this was a sudden injury sustained while diving for a ball, but it’s what we’re left with after the Padres couldn’t initially find anything serious going on within the shoulder.       Orioles manager Brandon Hyde mostly confirmed Monday that Craig Kimbrel is again Baltimore’s closer.

      Advice: It’s no surprise after Kimbrel picked up a clean save Sunday, but confirmation is always nice. MASN’s Steve Melewski quoted Hyde as saying: “Well yeah, I think so. Probably.       Dylan Cease lasted only four innings against the Braves in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader, giving up five runs in a no-decision.

      Advice: Cease came into this one having given up four runs, nine hits and three walks in three starts this month. Today, he allowed five runs, nine hits and three walks in four innings. He also surrendered his fourth and fifth homers of the year. Chalk it up to a bad day against a talented lineup.       Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI versus the Padres in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader.

      Advice: Olson’s homer, a no-doubter off Dylan Cease, was his sixth of the year. That’s way off last year’s pace, but his barrel and hard-hit rates are completely intact.
