    Travis Jankowski smacked a two-run single on Thursday, lifting the Rangers to a 6-0 victory over the Nationals.

    Advice: Jankowski came off the bench and padded Texas’ late lead with a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder has played sparingly this season due to the Rangers’ tremendous position player depth, but he remains an extremely valuable bench component for the defending World Series champions.   • Juan Soto hits first triple with Yankees in loss
    Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with a triple in a loss Thursday to the Orioles.

  • Jesús Sánchez knocks in game-winner in 10th
    Jesús Sánchez went 1-for-4 with the hit being a game-winning single in the 10th against the Rockies on Thursday.

    Advice: With the score tied 7-7, Sánchez went the opposite way to score Luis Arraez to give Miami the victory and their third-consecutive win. So far in 2024 Sánchez has driven in 13 runs over 33 games, and he’s slashing .237/.298/.316. Expect lots of ups and downs for the outfielder throughout the campaign.     Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's 8-0 victory.

    Advice: Betts hasn't homered over his past 17 games, but he continues to be productive, collecting seven multi-hit efforts over that stretch while slashing .406/.481/.536. The move to shortstop this season hasn't impacted the All-Star's offensive production, as Betts is leading MLB in hits (49) and OBP (.481) while tying for first in runs (29) and walks (26).   • Makes impact as pinch runner
    Ruiz entered Wednesday's win over the Pirates as a pinch runner in the bottom of the eighth inning, recording a stolen base and subsequently scoring a run.

    Advice: The speedy outfielder offered a spark off the bench after being tasked with running for Abraham Toro, swiping second base and subsequently coming home on Kyle McCann's single. The steal was only Ruiz's fourth in 16 games this season, but his second in the last three contests. The 25-year-old has also shown a welcome increase in pop early in the campaign, as he sports an impressive .861 OPS thanks in large part to having laced five of his nine hits for extra bases.     Soto went 1-for-3 with a walk and a pair of stolen bases in Wednesday's 2-0 win against the Orioles.

    Advice: Soto made the most of his two times reaching base, swiping a bag after singling in the first inning and another after walking in the sixth. He was also caught trying to steal third following his second theft. Soto tied a career-high mark with 12 stolen bases last season, and he's on pace to surpass that through 32 games this year.
