• Surrenders game-tying homer
Diaz blew the save Sunday against the Rays, allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts over one inning.

Advice: Diaz was tagged for a solo home run by Randy Arozarena in the ninth frame, his second long ball allowed in three appearances. Diaz hasn't generated a save since April 15 and is now 4-for-5 on save chances this season with an overall ERA of 2.63 through 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 5:12 pm
  • David Robertson gets first save in 10th inning
David Robertson pitched a hitless 10th with a one-run lead for his first save Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby Yates wound up with the win after pitching scoreless eighth and ninth innings. It’s a good reminder that even though Robertson was bypassed in favor of Yates after José Leclerc was removed from the closing gig, he’s still intriguing in mixed leagues. He has a 1.02 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 4:57 pm
  • James McArthur blows save in ninth, loses in 10th
James McArthur took a blown save and a loss after allowing two runs — one earned — between the ninth and 10th innings Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur blew the save by giving up a game-tying homer to Jonah Heim in the ninth. In spite of that, the Royals stuck with him in the 10th. He allowed only the automatic runner to score, but the Royals couldn’t let him off the hook from there. It’s not the kind of outing that will reflect particularly badly on him. He’s still 7-for-9 saving games, and the loss was his first. Rotoworld Today, 4:57 pm
  • Sixto Sánchez is inconsisent in start
Sixto Sánchez allowed two runs on three hits in four innings in a no-decision against the A’s.

Advice: Sánchez also walked three and struck out two. Somehow, he was the better of the two starters on the night. He had just a 17 percent whiff rate and his four-seam fastball velocity was down two mph from his previous outing. Sánchez has a 7.50 ERA and should not be on fantasy rosters, especially since he is likely losing his spot in the Marlins rotation. Rotoworld Today, 4:52 pm

  • Earns second save
Santana allowed one hit in one scoreless inning to earn the save during Sunday's 5-2 win over the Tigers. He struck out two.

Advice: Santana tossed his sixth-consecutive scoreless outing and was credited with his second save when the game was called after eight innings due to rain. Had the game completed a full nine innings, it is likely that regular closer Clay Holmes would have earned the nod despite having thrown 15 pitches to close out Saturday's contest. • Blown save, loss versus Texas
McArthur (1-1) blew a save and picked up the loss after he pitched two innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning defeat to the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur entered the game with the Royals up 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning and gave up a game-tying solo home run to Jonah Heim with one out in the inning. He later returned for the top of the 10th frame, allowing the inherited runner to score on an RBI single by Nathaniel Lowe. The blown save was McArthur's second in nine total save opportunities this season, and he currently possesses a 2.87 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in 13 appearances this season. • Secures extra-inning win
Yates (3-0) earned the win after he pitched two scoreless innings, allowing a walk while striking two batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Royals.

Advice: Yates entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Rangers trailing 2-1 and he was able to work around a walk to keep it a one-run deficit going into the ninth. After Texas tied it up at 2-2, the right-hander returned for the following frame, setting the Royals down in order. The Rangers went on to win it in the 10th inning, earning Yates his third victory of the year. The 37-year-old has yet to allow an earned run this season while posting a 0.50 WHIP with five saves over 14 innings in 12 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:14 pm
  • Enters double digits in saves
Clase picked up the save Sunday against LAA, striking out two over a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Clase made quick work of Willie Calhoun, Brandon Drury and Matt Thaiss on Sunday, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side and pick up his 10th save of the campaign. Clase is one of five closers in double figures in the category and has walked just one batter across 17.1 innings of action. Rotowire.com Today, 4:07 pm
  • Edwin Díaz gives up game-tying homer in ninth
Edwin Díaz took his first blown save after giving up a homer to Randy Arozarena in the ninth inning Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: The solo shot came on a 3-2 pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. It wasn’t even technically a hard-hit ball from Arozarena, leaving the bat at 94.7 mph. Díaz has now given up three homers in 13 2/3 innings, matching the total he allowed over 62 innings in 2022 (and 62 2/3 innings in 2021). Still, his stuff is gradually getting better, and he has a 21/4 K/BB. This is hardly a bad start for him in his return from knee surgery. Rotoworld Today, 3:31 pm
