    • Will undergo MRI on hamstring
Kwan will undergo an MRI on his injured left hamstring Sunday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Advice: Kwan tweaked the hamstring during Saturday's game against the Angels while making a play in the outfield. More should be known about a potential injured list stint and timetable following the exam. Kwan is off to an excellent start this season, slashing .353/.407/.496 over 32 games. • Leaves game with hamstring injury
Kwan was lifted from Saturday's game against the Angels due to left hamstring tightness, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kwan appeared to tweak his hamstring while chasing down a flyball in the top of the third inning and was removed prior to the top of the fourth. It's not clear at this point whether he might require an MRI, but the Guardians figure to offer an update on his condition after the game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:30 pm

    • Steven Kwan leaves game with hamstring tightness
Steven Kwan was removed from Saturday’s game against the Angels due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Advice: Kwan suffered the injury while running down a ball in the outfield. The severity of the injury, as well as how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss, remain unclear. The Guardians should provide another update on his status after the game concludes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:28 pm

    • Gets breather against lefty
O'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: O'Hearn will stay put in the Orioles' dugout as the Reds send out lefty Andrew Abbott to start on the mound. Adley Rutschman will serve as Baltimore's DH while O'Hearn rests, allowing James McCann to start behind the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:51 pm

    • Making rehab start Sunday
Marsh (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Advice: Royals manager Matt Quatraro hinted Friday at sending Marsh out on a rehab assignment, and the 25-year-old righty will now officially build back up with Omaha. Starting Sunday would put Marsh in line to return to Kansas City's rotation Friday against the Angels, though it's unclear if the Royals will want to keep him in the minors for multiple starts. • Garcia (lower back) could be available Saturday
Yimi Garcia (back) will throw before Saturday’s game to determine his availability.

Advice: Garcia has been unavailable while dealing with a lower back injury. The right-hander will throw before the game, and the Blue Jays will make a determination as to whether he’s available for the contest or not. Garcia has been outstanding in 2024 with a 0.68 ERA and 16/3 K/BB over 13 1/3 innings over 13 appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:36 am

    • Punches out eight
Singer took a no-decision Friday against the Rangers after allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out eight batters through six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Advice: Although Singer turned in yet another strong outing Friday, his contributions went unrewarded as the Royals were unable to take the lead until after the 27-year-old was removed from the game, giving the win to John Schreiber instead. Singer didn't get the win, but his 2.45 ERA and 42 strikeouts through 40.1 innings on the season still give fantasy managers plenty of reason to be pleased with his performance to begin the year. • Smacks homer in win
O'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds.

Advice: O'Hearn has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-19 (.421) in that span. The homer was his first since April 16, but the 30-year-old continues to demolish right-handed pitching. He's up to a .307/.381/.573 slash line with five homers, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 84 plate appearances this season. He should continue to see a strong-side platoon role, mainly as the designated hitter but also with occasional looks in the corner outfield or at first base. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:13 pm

    • Cruises to win
Gray (4-1) allowed three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Gray allowed just one extra-base hit and retired the final eight batters he faced. He's been excellent since returning from a brief stint on the injured list to begin the year; Gray has given up three earned runs through 30.1 innings while producing a 38:5 K:BB. He's turned in four straight quality starts after throwing five shutout frames in his 2024 debut. Gray's next start is lined up to come at home against the Mets. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:34 pm
