    • Julio Rodríguez comes through in eighth in victory
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead single in the bottom of the eighth as the Mariners bested the Astros 4-2 on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodriguez delivered after Josh Rojas tied the game with an RBI single off Ryan Pressly. Those two combined for four of the Mariners’ seven hits and all three of the team’s runs batted in tonight (the other run also came on Rodríguez’s eighth-inning hit, but it was the result of an error). Rodríguez is 8-for-17 with two homers and seven RBI in his last four games, raising his OPS from .606 to .657. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:01 pm

    • Luis Castillo delivers eighth quality start
Luis Castillo threw six innings of two-run ball against the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the fourth straight start in which Castillo has allowed exactly two runs. He hasn’t given up more than two earned runs since his third start of the year on April 8, and his ERA is down to 3.28. He’ll face the Angels next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:01 pm

    • Logs third steal
Smith went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Smith got the Rangers on the board with an RBI single in the third inning. He also stole second in the eighth after he was plunked. Smith has gone 13-for-43 (.302) with two steals over his last 12 contests. During that stretch, Smith has been promoted to the No. 3 spot in the order. He's slashing a sharp .280/.379/.409 with two home runs, three steals, 21 RBI and 24 runs scored over 190 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

    • Four hits vs. Orioles
Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over Baltimore.

Advice: The four hits are a season-high for Devers while the triple was his first since 2022. The 27-year-old third-baseman had cooled off a bit following his six-game home-run streak, going 3-for-17 in his last five contests. Following Tuesday's effort, Devers is slashing .289/.380/.548 with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 28 runs scored through 192 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:24 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) homers Tuesday at Triple-A
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) belted a solo homer on Tuesday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Robert made some noise right away in his first rehab contest at the Triple-A level with a towering blast in his first at-bat of the night. He finished 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart will likely get a couple more rehab games under his belt before returning to Chicago, but he’s not far away at this juncture. He’s been out since early April due to a Grade 2 hip flexor strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:22 pm

    • Rafael Devers has four hits in win over Orioles
Rafael Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in an 8-3 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a solid day at the plate for Devers, who had two hits over 104 mph and is now hitting .295 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games in May. It’s safe to say that he’s rebounded nicely from his slow start to the year, and the counting stats should continue to climb when the Red Sox are able to get Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas, and Masataka Yoshida back in the lineup around Devers. • Adam Ottavino blows save Tuesday vs. Dodgers
Adam Ottavino allowed one run in the ninth inning on Tuesday in a blown save against the Dodgers.

Advice: Ottavino got the call over Edwin Díaz to protect a one-run lead in the final frame and wound up surrendering three straight hits, including a game-tying hit single to Chris Taylor. The veteran righty managed to wriggle out of the jam without any further damage, but the Mets wound up falling in extra innings. Not great. It’s unclear where manager Carlos Mendoza will go from here, but we’re guessing Díaz will probably wind up getting the next save chance. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:58 pm

    • Swipes another pair of bags Monday
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a run and two stolen bases in Monday's 3-2 victory over Houston.

Advice: Rodriguez scored Seattle's second run in the first inning and padded his stat line with a pair of steals in the seventh. The star outfielder has four thefts over his past two contests following a 16-game stretch without any steals from May 9 to May 25. Though he's been pretty quiet with a .265/.309/.342 slash line on the season, Rodriguez has built some momentum in going 6-for-13 with two homers, five RBI, four runs and four stolen bases over his past three games. • Moving rehab to Triple-A
Kwan (hamstring) will have his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Columbus beginning Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kwan went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk over two games with High-A Lake County over the weekend. The outfielder is expected to play six-to-eight innings in left field Tuesday. He may stay with Columbus for the remainder of the Guardians' road trip, which makes it possible Kwan could be ready to return to the majors by Friday. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:57 pm
