With Stanek having appeared in three of the last four games and having thrown 39 pitches in the last two nights, Munoz would certainly be in line for any high-leverage work Saturday if he's healthy enough to handle it.       Bednar earned the save in Friday's 3-0 win over the Twins, allowing one hit while logging a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: Bednar worked around a Byron Buxton one-out single to close out Pittsburgh's shutout victory, earning his 13th save this season. Bednar extended his scoreless inning streak to nine -- he's allowed just five hits and one walk in that span.       Swanson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

      Advice: The shortstop took Nick Lodolo deep in the sixth inning, but the Cubs were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. Swanson is beginning to show faint signs of life at the plate -- while he's batting just .233 (7-for-30) over the last eight games, four of those hits have gone for extra bases, including two of his six homers on the year. The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out with a three-run blast by MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP north of one, as it now stands at 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings.       Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the seventh. He's gone yard in four straight contests, an impressive run of power after he went 39 games without a homer prior to this surge. The catcher is at a .258/.285/.416 slash line, seven long balls, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests. With Kyle Tucker (lower leg) going on the injured list Friday, Yordan Alvarez has seen more time in the field, giving the Astros the option of moving Diaz to designated hitter rather than having him at catcher full-time in the short term.       Advice: The save was Bednar’s 13th of the season. He blew three of his first four save opportunities this season, but since then he’s converted on 12 consecutive save chances.
