  • Perez knocks in three in spring win over Zona
Hernan Perez hit two doubles and knocked in three runs in a 5-1 win over Arizona on Sunday in the Cactus League.

Advice: Perez was a disappointment in 2017 in which he posted a .289 on-base percentage and stole just 13 bases; well off his 34 steals in 2016. Fortunately for him, he does provide versatility with the ability to play all over the field, and he does have some pop with 27 homers in the last two seasons. It's tough to see him earning much playing time with the Brewers, but if there was an injury -- or a trade -- that opened things up, he'd be worth taking a flyer on. Rotoworld.com Today, 3:30 pm

  • Story triples in Cactus League loss to Texas
Trevor story went 1-for-2 with a triple and a strikeout in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday in the Cactus League.

Advice: The triple came off of Matt Bush in the second inning. Story, now 25, is coming off a disappointing season where he struck out 191 times and hit just .239 in 145 games for the Rockies. He also hit 24 homers and drove in 82 runs while playing shortstop, so it certainly wasn't a completely lost season for Story, at least from a fantasy perspective. if he can cut the strikeouts down to a low roar, he'll be among the best at the position in 2018. • Marwin Gonzalez goes 2-for-2 in spring win
Marwin Gonzalez went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored in the Astros' exhibition win over the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: Picking up right where he left off. Gonzalez posted a stellar .303/.377/.530 batting line with 23 home runs and 90 RBI over 134 regular-season games last season for the World Series-champion Astros. He'll again be used at several different positions in Houston this season and looks poised to continue raking. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:08 pm

  • Trea Turner will have 'free rein' on bases
MLB.com's Jamal Collier writes that Nationals manager Dave Martinez has told Trea Turner he'll have "free rein" on the bases even though he's expected to bat second ahead of Bryce Harper.

Advice: "Davey told me that it's kind of on me, for the most part," Turner said. "I take some pride in that. I'll be smart about it, don't want to make stupid outs, but at the same time you want to be aggressive." It could result in Harper getting pitched around a lot if Turner steals a base in front of him, but Martinez doesn't see that as an issue given that Anthony Rendon and Daniel Murphy will follow in the order. Turner figures to challenge for the league lead in steals if he can stay healthy. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:14 am
  • Troy Tulowitzki (heel) fields grounders
Troy Tulowitzki (heel) fielded grounders with his teammates on Sunday.

Advice: Tulo had been limited to individual drills with third base coach Luis Rivera. Most of the grounders Sunday were hit right at him, as he's not able to test his range much yet as he works his way back from a chronic bone spur in his right heel. Tulowitzki said recently that he wasn't sure whether he'd be ready for Opening Day. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:34 am
