Tyler O’Neill (concussion) not in lineup on Tue.Tyler O’Neill (concussion) is not in the Red Sox starting lineup against the Guardians on Tuesday.
Advice: Cora should give an update on O’Neill later this afternoon. The Red Sox outfielder collided with Rafael Devers on a fly ball in left field during Monday’s game against Cleveland and was placed in concussion protocol. No longer starting WednesdayPuk (illness) won't be available to start Wednesday's game against the Giants, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Advice: Puk was initially scheduled to toe the rubber for Monday's series opener but ended up getting pushed back to Wednesday due to an illness. Since he's still feeling under the weather, the Marlins have opted to push Puk back at least one more day, enabling Trevor Rogers to start Wednesday on four days' rest. It's not yet clear when Puk might be ready to take the ball next, but the Marlins have an opening Thursday versus the Cubs and are probably hoping he'll feel well enough to take the hill that day. Continues hot stretchRendon went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs in Monday's 7-3 victory versus the Rays.
Advice: Rendon notched his fourth straight multi-hit game Monday, and he's now batting .263 on the season. That's an impressive climb considering that the veteran third baseman began the campaign hitless through his first 21 at-bats. Rendon is batting a robust .480 over his past six contests, and he's reached base via hit or walk in nine consecutive games.
