  • Wright not expected to play 3B until mid-Mar.
Mets manager Terry Collins estimated Tuesday that David Wright won't be ready to play the field until around mid-March.

Advice: Wright, who is coming back from neck surgery and battling spinal stenosis in his back, played catch Tuesday for the second time this spring. He's going to be eased into action as a DH and in minor league games before testing himself in the field. "He is making strides," said Collins. "You are looking at, three weeks from today we will have a real good idea where he is at. That gives him a lot of time to lengthen himself out." It's ultimately hard to say if he'll be ready for Opening Day until he really starts ramping things up. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:00 am

Advice: Longoria missed the last two days of camp after getting sick on Sunday night, but it was never a long-term concern. He should be good to go now. Rotoworld.com Today, 5:46 am

  • Kang admits to DUI, verdict coming March 3
Jung Ho Kang admitted to his DUI charge in a South Korea court on Wednesday.

Advice: Kang fled the scene after slamming into a guardrail on December 2 in Seoul, South Korea. It was his third DUI charge since 2009. "I deeply regret what I have done," Kang told Yonhap News. "If I can get one last chance, I will become an exemplary player to earn respect from everyone." According to Yonhap News, the court will hold a verdict hearing on March 3. It's unclear what the sentence might be or when he'll be able to rejoin the Pirates. He could also face a punishment from the Pirates, though he has agreed to enter an alcohol treatment program. • MRI reveals mild calf strain for Donaldson
An MRI on Josh Donaldson's right calf revealed only a mild strain.

Advice: Donaldson tweaked his calf while running sprints last Friday, but the Blue Jays think they've dodged a bullet here. "It's not a significant [strain]," general manager Ross Atkins said Monday. "So we're optimistic that he'll be back on his feet and moving pretty quickly." Barring a setback, the star third baseman should be fine come Opening Day. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:28 pm

  • Rodriguez's shoulder surgery details revealed
Sean Rodriguez's left shoulder surgery involved the repair of a badly torn rotator cuff, labrum damage and a biceps tendon that had to relocated.

Advice: It's no wonder that he's essentially already been ruled out for the season. Rodriguez, who suffered the injuries during a car crash in late January, is under contract with the Braves through 2018. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:36 am
