  • Delivers winning knock
Ward went 2-for-3 with one RBI, one walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ward put the Angels ahead with an RBI single in the 10th inning and then stole second. The Angels didn't add to their lead, but they were able to hold on. With just two multi-hit efforts in June, Ward has been a bit disappointing after he started the season in good form at the plate. He's slashing .240/.325/.419 with 12 home runs, three steals, 38 RBI and 35 runs scored over 73 contests, but just one of those long balls, but he has just three extra-base hits in June. • Two steals in win
Rengifo went 1-for-4 with two stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Rengifo reached the 20-steal mark for the season Friday after totaling just 18 thefts over his first five campaigns. The infielder has been good in June, batting .279 (19-for-68) with eight steals on 11 attempts, though he has just one extra-base hit this month. For the year, he's at a .311/.360/.425 slash line with four home runs, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple through 59 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:45 pm

  • Jeimer Candelario homers twice to lead Reds
Jeimer Candelario launched a pair of solo homers in leading the Reds to a 5-2 win over the Red Sox on Friday.

Advice: Remember when Candelario was having a bad season? He’s hit eight homers, knocked in 17 runs and even stolen three bases this month to push his season line up to .255/.310/.506. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:41 pm
  • Continues power surge
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Lewis homered for the fifth time in his last six games, taking Joey Estes deep in the sixth inning. With 10 homers, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over just 16 contests this season, Lewis is enjoying a breakout campaign despite missing over two months with an injury. It's likely that his power will regress at some point, but Lewis is talented enough to offer a safe floor for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 pm
  • Clubs homer Friday
Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month. For the season, he's posted a .272/.357/.444 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 43 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a career-high 19 doubles through 76 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm

  • Swats go-ahead homer
Langeliers went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the Twins.

Advice: Langeliers took Jhoan Duran deep in the eighth inning, giving the Athletics the lead for good. This was Langeliers' 14th homer of the season, though he's gone deep just twice over 16 games in June while batting .196 (11-for-56) for the month. Overall, the catcher is at a .207/.265/.445 slash line across 249 plate appearances, and he's added 39 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:18 pm
  • Bryan De La Cruz goes 3-for-4, hits 14th home run
Bryan De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double as the Marlins edged the Mariners 3-2 on Friday.

Advice: Oddly enough, the Marlins had no one with one hit tonight; De La Cruz had three, Josh Bell and Tim Anderson had two and no one else reached via hit or walk. De La Cruz’s homer was his third in four games and 14th on the season. If he played on a better team, he’d be an easy top 30 or 40 fantasy outfielders right now. As is, he still seems like a pretty fringy mixed-league option. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm
  • Ryan Bliss goes 3-for-3 versus Marlins
Ryan Bliss had half of the Mariners’ hits Friday, finishing 3-for-3 with an RBI against the Marlins.

Advice: Bliss’s .238/.319/.381 line through 49 plate appearances isn’t particularly remarkable, but that’s actually an above average OPS+ for a Seattle hitter in 2024. He’s going to have a case for sticking around after Jorge Polanco returns, which could happen this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm
  • Cal Raleigh slips below Mendoza Line in loss
Cal Raleigh went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Raleigh often seems to come up with the big hit, but the little hit has been a problem this year, as he’s batted just .198/.276/.380 in 272 plate appearances. The Mariners aren’t going to change much about his usage, but maybe they’ll give him the occasional extra day off and roll with Mitch Garver behind the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm
