    Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday that he believes Perdomo (knee) will start hitting this week, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

  • Goes deep in loss
    Merrill went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 11-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Merrill took Ryne Nelson deep to right center in the second to open up the scoring for the Padres and later notched a single off the bat at 102.4 mph. He's now tallied a hit in each of his last three games and has five RBI over that span after going on a mini slump to end the month of April.     Estrada went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Estrada gave the Giants some late life with a two-run blast in the seventh off Taijuan Walker, which ultimately knocked him from the game. The 28-year-old is riding a five-game hit streak and has six RBI over his last four games.     Lindor went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Rays.

    Advice: Lindor got the Mets on the board right away, clubbing a two-run shot off Ryan Pepiot as the third batter of the game. The long ball was Lindor's sixth of the season and marked his third time logging multiple RBI in his last four games.     Caballero went 0-for-2 with three walks, three runs scored and four stolen bases during Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Mets.

    Advice: Despite not tallying a hit, Caballero was all over the basepaths, reaching thrice via walk and becoming the third player since 2020 to accumulate four steals in a game. One of those swipes came in the 10th inning when he stole third after beginning the frame as the designated runner. He then scored on a walk-off triple by Jonny DeLuca.     Nico Hoerner doubled and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday, propelling the Cubs to a 5-0 victory over the visiting Brewers.

    Advice: Hoerner opened the scoring in the ballgame with a two-run double off of Freddy Peralta in the home half of the fifth inning. He then advanced to third on a ground ball and dashed home on a wild pitch with the Cubs’ third run of the day.     Dansby Swanson walloped his fourth home run of the season on Sunday as the Cubs shut out the Brewers at Wrigley Field.

    Advice: Swanson crushed a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Thyago Viera in the sixth inning, extending the Cubs’ lead to 4-0. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon.     Ceddanne Rafaela homered and walked Sunday as the Red Sox snapped the Twins’ 12-game winning streak by prevailing 9-2.

    Advice: Rafaela’s homer was 105.2 mph off the bat and was projected at 398 feet. The 23-year-old clearly possesses sufficient pop, but the approach needs work; he’s swinging at everything and just not making hard contact consistently.
