  • Luis Rengifo swipes two bags against Astros
Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing. He was in a lot of pain at first, but he was able to finish the game afterwards. Still, if he’s not in Tuesday’s lineup, this is probably the reason. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Henderson blasts 16th home run Monday
Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: Henderson accounted for all the Orioles’ runs on the night. He blasted his league-leading 16th home run in the sixth inning off Sonny Gray, who hadn’t allowed a single hit at that point in the game. The 22-year-old is up to .271 with a .961 OPS and 34 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:56 pm
  • Otto Lopez contributes game-tying hit vs. Brewers
Otto Lopez hit a game-tying single in the ninth inning on Monday in the Marlins eventual extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Lopez came through with a clutch single to right field against Brewers closer Trevor Megill, which allowed Nick Gordon to race around and score easily from second base. The 25-year-old finds himself playing regularly for the Marlins at the moment and has come through with a solid .296/.339/.519 triple-slash line with three homers and two steals in 59 plate appearances so far. • Carlos Correa blasts homer in loss to Nationals
Carlos Correa clubbed a two-run homer on Monday in the Twins’ blowout loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Correa walloped a two-run shot off Nationals starter Mitchell Parker in the sixth inning, but it did little to alter the outcome of Monday’s series opener. It was just his third round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old shortstop is batting .267/.361/.419 with 16 runs scored, three homers and 12 RBI in 122 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 6:47 pm
  • Ceddanne Rafaela goes deep in win over Rays
Ceddanne Rafaela belted a two-run homer on Monday in the Red Sox’ win over the Rays.

Advice: Rafaela took Rays starter Taj Bradley deep for a two-run shot -- his fifth long ball of the season -- in the fifth inning to give Boston a commanding five-run lead at the time. It was his second round-tripper in his last six contests. The 23-year-old rookie doesn’t offer a ton of over-the-fence pop, but he’s easily going to reach double-digit homers and steals in his full-season debut. Rotoworld Today, 6:28 pm
  • Sent to Triple-A
Mastrobuoni was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Monday, per MLB's transaction log.

Advice: Mastrobuoni went 0-for-10 at the dish over his last three games, and he'll be demoted to the minors now that Dansby Swanson (knee) is ready to be activated from the 10-day IL and Luiz Vasquez is ready to get a shot with the big-league club. Mastrobuoni will likely be seen again in the majors this season considering his versatility. Today, 5:12 pm

  • Officially activated
Swanson (knee) was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night, per MLB's transaction log.

Advice: Swanson was expected to be activated prior to Tuesday's game against Atlanta, and the team has elected to make the move official a bit earlier than anticipated despite not having a game Monday. Miles Mastrobuoni and Pete Crow-Armstrong were optioned to Triple-A Iowa in corresponding moves, making room for the upcoming promotion of Luis Vazquez. Today, 5:06 pm
  • Xander Bogaerts out with shoulder inflammation
The Padres are calling Xander Bogaerts’ injury left shoulder inflammation.

Advice: It’s an odd diagnosis, being that this was a sudden injury sustained while diving for a ball, but it’s what we’re left with after the Padres couldn’t initially find anything serious going on within the shoulder. He obviously was not included in the lineup for the second game of today’s doubleheader. Rotoworld Today, 4:16 pm
  • J.P. Crawford (oblique) activated by Mariners
Mariners activated SS J.P. Crawford from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Crawford’s pregame workout today was impressive enough to get him back on the roster tonight after his absence due to an oblique strain and a subsequent bruised hand, but he won’t return to the starting lineup until tomorrow. Dylan Moore will return to his utility role then after spending the last 3 1/2 weeks as a starting shortstop. Rotoworld Today, 3:47 pm
