  • Kris Bryant (back) won’t return this week
Kris Bryant (back) has yet to resume baseball activities.

Advice: If there’s a positive takeaway here it’s that Rockies manager Bud Black didn’t seem too concerned on Tuesday while speaking with reporters, adding that there’s no talk of surgery for Bryant, and he hasn’t undergone any additional testing or imaging. The 32-year-old is eligible to return from the injured list this week, but that won’t happen. He remains shut down as he continues to recover from a lower back strain. Rotoworld Today, 4:38 pm

  • Jason Heyward (back) still not swinging a bat
Jason Heyward (back) has yet to resume swinging a bat.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Heyward is still dealing with residual soreness and is more than a week away from starting a minor league rehab assignment. His ongoing absence provides some additional runway for prospect Andy Pages to continue playing regularly for Los Angeles in a corner outfield role. Rotoworld Today, 4:16 pm
  • Returns from IL
Robinson (shoulder) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list by Double-A Amarillo on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Advice: The 23-year-old suffered a right shoulder sprain during spring training but is now ready to make his 2024 debut with Amarillo. Robinson had a brief stint with the affiliate to close last season but spent most of the campaign at Single-A Visalia, where he had a .945 OPS in 43 games. Rotowire.com Today, 3:54 pm
  • Takes seat Tuesday
Velazquez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Velazquez is 2-for-21 in his past seven games and will head to the bench for the second time in Kansas City's past three contests. Adam Frazier is batting sixth as the designated hitter Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 3:41 pm
  • Steps out of lineup
Renfroe is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Renfroe is in the midst of a 2-for-21 slump and will sit Tuesday after starting the previous six games. Dairon Blanco will take over in right field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 3:38 pm
  • Corbin Carroll sitting Tuesday against southpaw
Corbin Carroll is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Cardinals

Advice: It’s a routine off day for Carroll on Tuesday night with lefty Steven Matz toeing the rubber for the Cardinals. He’s gotten off to an excruciatingly-slow start this season with a calamitous .593 OPS with one homer and eight steals in 108 plate appearances through 23 contests. It’s only a matter of time before the 23-year-old fantasy superstar heats up at the dish, but it’s undeniable that he’s struggling at the moment. Rotoworld Today, 3:22 pm
  • Mike Trout leading off Tuesday night vs. O’s
Mike Trout is leading off on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s the first time Trout has led off for Los Angeles since the second game of a late-August doubleheader against the Astros during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. His previous appearance before that was back in early 2018. The 32-year-old generational talent is in the midst of a renaissance campaign with an .889 OPS with eight homers and five steals through 23 contests. Rotoworld Today, 2:56 pm
  • Sits down Tuesday
Bader isn't in the Mets' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Bader will get a day off after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout during Monday's win in the series opener. Brandon Nimmo will slide over to center field in his place, moving Jeff McNeil into left and allowing Joey Wendle to start at second base, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:39 pm
  • Heston Kjerstad batting eighth in season debut
Heston Kjerstad is in right field and batting eighth on Tuesday in his season debut against the Angels.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging sign that the Orioles are throwing Kjerstad right into the fire following his early-season promotion instead of having him languish on the bench. The 25-year-old slugger tore the cover off the ball this season for Triple-A Norfolk, posting an astronomical 1.176 OPS with 10 homers, 30 RBI and one steal in 21 games. He projects as a potential four-category impact fantasy contributor, if he’s given an everyday opportunity in Baltimore’s loaded lineup. Rotoworld Today, 2:34 pm
