-This will be a free 20 team h2h categories league.

-We will have 4 equally sized divisions. The divisions will be tiered and realigned yearly with the playoff teams from the previous season moving up into the next higher division and the bottom teams in terms of previous season's record moving down one division to make room for the climbing teams. In the unlikely event that all 5 teams of the first division make it into the playoffs then there will be no movement upwards in the following season by the top teams of the second division.

-The dispersal of non-kept players will be via live auction. Our budgets will be $390 minus keeper salaries, the nomination time is set to the shortest setting and the bid time is also set for the shortest setting so it should move along relatively well.

-There are 30 roster spots plus 5 DL and 3 NA and the categories are Runs, Home Runs, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, and SLG for hitters and Wins, Saves, Holds, Strikeouts, ERA, WHIP, and IP for pitchers.

-8 teams will make the winner's bracket of the playoffs which will last for the final 3 weeks of the season. Playoff tiebreaker is regular season record vs opponent. Playoff seeds will be determined by regular season record. Division winners are not guaranteed a playoff spot if their record doesn't warrant one.

-The trade deadline will be set to the latest available date. Review time is 3 days and determined by league vote.

-Roster moves may be done daily (the notion that weekly lineup change and faab leagues are somehow less work is utterly bogus even though it is proliferated constantly by most of the people in the fantasy baseball industry)

-.Player adds are processed same day and limited to 3 per week and 53 for the season.

The amount of players kept by each team will be determined by the previous season's overall finish in the final standings after the playoffs.

1st-4th (5 players bought at auction and 1 free agent)
5th-8th (6 players bought at auction and 1 free agent)
9th-12th (7 players bought at auction and 2 free agents)
13th-20th (5 players bought at auction and 2 free agents)

The two (*starting 2024, still four for 2023) non-playoff teams that improved their record the most from the previous season will be allowed 1 extra keeper (auction or free agent, their choice). If the extra keeper was a free agent then their salary will be $5.

Every team will have the option of keeping up to 3 minor league players as long as they haven't accrued any MLB AB's or IP in addition to their regular keepers. Their salary will be whatever was determined at the auction or $1 if they were picked up as free agents and not subject to inflation as long as they have no Ab's or IP. Once they obtain an MLB AB or IP they will count towards the regular keepers with their auction salary or, if free agent pick ups, a minimum salary ($5) with year 1 of their 4 year keeper eligibility starting in that season. *Note that these players do not count towards your "players bought at auction" or "free agent" keepers until they get an AB or IP*

example: A player is won at auction for $10 and is kept after season 1. His salary for year 2 will be $14 ($10 plus 40% inflation). If he is kept for year 3 his salary will be $19 ($14 plus 35% inflation). Year 4 will be $24 ($19 plus 25% inflation). Decimals are rounded to the nearest whole number. Players can only be kept for 4 years.

Free agents added during the year will be eligible to be kept at a cost of $5 for the first and $8 for the second (if applicable). The season in which they were added will count as year 1.

Clarification for free agents- year added is year one and cost for year one will be $5 for free agent #1 and $8 for free agent #2 (if applicable). So that player's salary will be $5 or $8 for year 2 and then subject to 60% inflation going into year 3.

Minimum salary for keepers will be $5. So if you buy a player at auction for less than $5 his salary for year 2 will be $5 and then his salary will be subject to inflation in years 3 and 4.

If a player is bought at auction and then dropped during the season he retains his salary at auction as well as his contract status (year x/4) for keeper purposes if the team that picked him up wishes to keep him. This player will count towards the "players bought at auction" for the team that picked him up and wishes to keep him.

Please note that these are max keepers, you can choose to keep fewer than that or none if you want.
