Thank you everyone for another great season! Congratulations to the Beasts of the East and manager Brian H. on a 3rd championship in the league's 10 year history, tying a league record. I hope everyone has a good offseason and thinks about which keepers (up to 5) they are considering. Keep in mind to check the "Keepers" page on the history website to know which players have reached their 4 year maximums. I will be updating final season stats shortly.

Just wanted to inform you on a couple changes going forward in the Boston Fantasy Baseball League:
Keeper Rules Changes
The "Resigned Player" stipulation having to do with consecutive seasons on a manager's roster has been removed. The only stipulation that determines consecutive seasons towards the 4 year keeper maximum is when the manager physically assigns a players as a keeper going into a new season. Refer to Keeper Rules and Regulations for all new updated rules, effective immediately.
Keeper Page
Because of the recent change to no longer include the "Resigned Players" in consecutive season counts I have posted a listing of all assigned teams keeper players going into the 2013 season and how many years each player has been assigned as a keeper on the new Keepers page. Also, a couple player's consecutive season counts have dropped by 1 season due to not officially being assigned as a keeper in previous seasons (ex. Stephen Strasburg, Alex Gordon, and Bryce Harper)

Field Series
A new page has been added under the Field Series tab where all previous Field Series logos are available for viewing via a slideshow.

Hey everyone,
Just want to bring everyone up to speed on the recent changes to the league; Certain managers have been recently replaced due to inactivity and their teams under new management.
umlDPT - now MOUNTAINEERS under manager William W.
Mighty Melonheads - now NY Swingin' Satins under manager Ron T.
Braun Supremacy - now Waukegan Braves under manager Joe S.
I did find it only fair to be able to facilitate trades and other issues that were being impeded due to lack of activity from the former team managers. A reminder to all that this week (Week 15) is All-Star week and does go until July 21st. Also, the trade deadline is getting closer as that date is Aug 4th. Good luck to everyone.

ATTENTION TO ALL MANAGERS
I have begun a search for replacement managers of inactive teams. This is not something that I like doing midseason but feel it is necessary and only fair to the rest of the league who wants to compete on an even playing field. Anyone who knows someone willing to pick up a team midseason please message me.

Hey everyone,
All keeper players have been approved and are inserted into rounds 1-5 of the draft. Because everyone selected 5 keepers I didn't bother editing the draft order for the first 5 rounds and round 6 starts the actual correct draft order with umlDPT in the first position.
For the new managers, normally the last place team from the previous season would draft first in rounds 1,3,5,6 and all even rounds from there.

Hey everyone,
The keeper deadline date has been pushed through today the 17th. When I originally set the keeper date I thought every manager would have through Sunday to make their selections, but it was more like midnight on the 16th. If anyone wants to make any last minute changes, you have through Sunday the 17th.
After keepers are selected, I will be able to properly set up the draft. Draft position is based on the final standings from last season.

Hey everyone!
Welcome back to the highly anticipated 10th Season of the BFBL! I'm looking forward to another competitive year here in 2013 and as I predict, a great season full of impactful trades as there are many "Keeper Players" on their 4th active season with their current teams.
Some key dates going forward as we make our way towards opening day:
March 1, 2013: Deadline for 2012 managers to renew their teams. After this date, any manager from the 2012 season is not guaranteed their previous team or even a spot in the 2013 season.
March 17, 2013: Keeper Deadline Date. Keeper selections have to be submitted by all current managers by this date. A maximum of 5 keeper will be approved by the Commissioner for each team, if no keepers are selected by this date, all players for that specific team will be dropped into the draft pool where any manager is free to select.
March 24, 2013: 2013 BFBL Draft! Draft time is set for 4:45 pm EDT
