Managers,
Congratulations to the 2014 Field Series Champions, Mountaineers and manager William W. This was their first BFBL Championship in franchise history and first Championship for William W. in his first full season in the BFBL.
Thank you everyone for another excellent season! This has definitely been one of the most competitive seasons yet. Some of you may have noticed S. Strasburg, C. Kershaw, and A. Beltre have been dropped from their respective teams. They have exceeded their keeper maximums and will be available in the 2015 Draft.
Please keep in mind the changes that will be in effect for the 2015 season. They are currently posted on the league page. The changes, final results, and any records will be updated on the BFBL website soon. Good luck to all in your football leagues. have a good offseason, and hope to see many of you back in 2015!
Thank you,
Bryan A.

Managers,
⚾️IMPORTANT CHANGES⚾️
The MLB All-Star break is past and for some this is the time to start their playoff push. For others, as seen in some recent trades and communication is time to start thinking about next season. With next season come some changes:
⚾️4 KEEPER PLAYERS⚾️
As a way to better streamline the draft where the same teams don't draft in the same positions in Rounds 5 and 6 and then even rounds from there, we will be going with 4 keeper players next season. They will follow the same rules pertaining to draft position as previous seasons.
⚾️"NA" POSITION⚾️
As a trade off to only keeping 4 players I am instituting a new keeper option involving the recently added "NA" position on Yahoo! which I will go into further detail on in a separate post.
⚾️STATISTICAL CATEGORIES⚾️
The statistical categories will be changing next season. The current 13x13 format has been in place since 2006, and it is about time for a change. After much debate over two seasons where this has been a hot subject, the league will be removing the negative pitching stats and switch to an 8x8 format. The new statistic categories starting in 2015 will be as follows:
•Batting
R, H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, TB
•Pitching
W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, QS, K/9
Minimum innings pitched requirements will remain at 27 IP.
⚾️DRAFT POSITION⚾️
Starting next season teams will compete for the number one draft pick in the following season. To make things a little more interesting and prevent "tanking" the consolation championship bracket will decide the top draft position. Starting in 2016 after 2015 final results the top 4 picks will go as follows:
1. 7th Place (Consolation Champion)
2. 8th Place (Consolation Runner-up)
3. 10th Place
4. 9th Place
And picks 5-10 follow as teams in the main bracket finish.
Good luck to everyone in the second half of the season. Details on the "NA" position coming soon!
Thank you,
Bryan A.
