I just wanted to thank you all again for an excellent fantasy baseball season. As you may have noticed, all teams have been locked and some key players who have met their keeper season maximums have been dropped back into the player pool. That list contains:

I will be spending some time soon updating the league website including re-vamping the records based on playing one less week than prior seasons. I look forward to seeing most or all of you next season for some more baseball.

As I started typing this message this morning the news came across that Miami Marlins SP Jose Fernandez passed away in a boat accident early this morning. I would just like to recognize that sad and unfortunate news before my original message. My thoughts and prayers are with the Fernandez and Marlins family. Fernandez was 24 years old.
Thank you everyone for a great season and probably the best competition this league has experienced thus far. I feel like I say that every season, but I truly mean it. Here's just a short list of the great accomplishments from this year:
• Tied for longest win-streak (Reservoir Dogs)
• Best record in league history (Asparagus Piss Bombs)
• Trade deadline fire sale after 6 game losing streak in which Hoboglyphics sold off some key players for 2017 draft picks. As a result of this trade, he then went on to win 6 of the last 7 games of the season and make a legitimate playoff push.
• At multiple times this season the difference between the first place team and the fourth place team was less than 10 games.
This is the first season where we have had a 21 week regular season and the Field Series playoffs wrapping up one week prior to the close of the MLB season. As a result of that I will be locking teams by the end of the day so no more add/drops can be performed during the final week to maintain competitive roster balance.
Keeper player maximums will also be enforced by the end of the day as well. Any player that has met their maximum keeper player seasons and still remain on that current roster will be dropped back into the player pool to be re-drafted in 2017.
