I want to send out a friendly reminder that this week is the trade deadline. Now is the time to decide if your playing for this season or next.
Thursday is the deadline for all deals to be finalized. I will be consistently checking my email and Yahoo Fantasy app notifications for any final trades for teams looking to make their Field Series push or build for next season.
I will send out another communication following the trade deadline. Let the buying and selling BEGIN!

With the MLB All-Star break this week, we will have a two-week matchup for Week 15. Minimums IP will remain the same, and we have no transaction limits so nothing to worry about there.
Congrats so far to Beavers, Bosox, Aliens on holding strong in the top 3 spots in the standings. Rounding out the playoff picture is currently Bombers, Crushers, Pilots. There is not a lot of games separating the lower playoff seedings from the bubble teams, so a lot of season left.
Next, let’s talk trade deadline. The deadline is August 11th. This means after this All-Star matchup, the deadline occurs on the Thursday of the 2nd following matchup. We are closer to the deadline than it seems, so keep this in mind.
The last bit of business is changes to come for next season. After debating this for a few years now, the BFBL will finally adopt the uniform OF position. There will no longer be a separation between LF, CF, RF. The fourth OF position will be switched to a second UTIL position to maintain the same roster sizes. Just something I thought I would mention prior to the trade deadline, as this may alter manager’s decisions when it comes to potentially acquiring a position player that holds the same position as a already rostered, keeper caliber player.
Six more weeks of the regular season! Let’s finish strong as we push towards the Field Series!

Just checking in, as we are at the midway point to the regular season. I love the competition and participation I have seen at this point in the season! I put together a mid-season power rankings for everyone to check out in the link shared in this post. These ranking are reflective of the first 9 weeks, so after each team ran through the field one time. This does not include the most recent (week 10) results.

The 2021 Boston Fantasy Draft is in the books! First and foremost, good luck to everyone this season!
Second, and 100% the most important note; Thank you to everyone in the league who attended the draft. This was the first year in the 19 year history where we had 100% participation! Everyone came to represent their team, and I don't think I can effectively begin to display and communicate my appreciation to everyone for supporting this league with the draft turnout and competitiveness that was displayed to start the season.
Last, I took a quick snapshop of Yahoo's rankings at the end, as a sort of draft grade perspective. This is how Yahoo ranked out the teams based on the statistics that are ranked in the Boston Fantasy League:

Since joining the league in the middle of 2018, The Pilots have been to 4 straight Field Series Championships, winning 3 out of the past 4 Field Series Championships! Who will stop this dynasty?

All keeper player submissions have been approved and positioned into this year's draft. Anyone who wants to see the draft layout, for planning before Sunday can view the draft layout on the website I will add in a link below, as well as the path here on the Yahoo page that I will also lay out:

I have also updated the Keeper page on the website with 2022 keeper selections, as well as updated consecutive season counts. Players highlighted in red have reached their keeper max on their current rosters and will not be able to be assigned as a keeper player, if they remain on that same roster by year end.

Hey everyone,
I have pushed the draft day back two weeks to Sunday, April 3rd, still at 8:00pm EDT. As of right now there is still no labor deal in place between MLB and the MLBPA. Without a deal in place there are still too many players that are unsigned and holding a NA player designation. We cannot go ahead with a draft without a deal in place and players being able to sign with teams.
I will continue to monitor the labor talks, as I'm sure I'm not the only one, and keep everyone updated on any further changes. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a full on strike, and we get some baseball soon.

Welcome to the 2022 season of the Boston Fantasy Baseball League! Thank you to all returning managers. I’m addition, I speak for everyone in welcoming a new manager to the league this season; Gary M. has taken over the former Bail Bonds team, now the Bosox.
The draft is set for Sunday, March 20th @ 8:00pm EDT. Keepers are due the week prior, March 13th.
As of right now, MLB spring training is not going to be starting on time, as pitchers and catchers would have already reported and full squads by early this upcoming week. If the regular season does not start on time due to the MLB/MLBPA CBA negotiations, then our draft may be delayed as a result. Without an agreement in place there are far too many big name fantasy players without team designations. I will continue to monitor the news and keep everyone updated.
Hopefully we’ll be starting the fantasy season is just a little more than one month from now!
