Welcome back. We have a couple of changes this year. First, we added two DL spots. With the advent of the 7 and 10 day DL, teams were using it more than ever last year. Some people had 6 guys on the DL at once last year. So hopefully this helps. Also we are moving the playoffs up one week to avoid the problem we had in the past, where many teams bench stars in the last week to get ready for the playoffs.
We had voting on league fees and free agent money. I'm not sure of the exact vote, but everyone who voted by text or on the league message board voted to go up to $150. I don't believe there were any votes to stay at $100. It seemed like no one wanted to raise free agent pick ups to $2. So we will raise the league fee to $150, and keep free agency the same. That gives us $2400 plus free agent money for prizes. So as of now, prizes will be $150 each to the division winners, $300 for 3rd, $600 for 2nd, and $1200 plus all free agent money for 1st.
All of our other usual rules are in effect. If you miss the 30 inning minimum for pitching you lose all 6 categories and you are fined $20. For hitting we have a 100 plate appearance minimum. Yahoo, doesn't check that for us, but if you see someone miss, please let me know. That person would also lose all 6 categories and pay a $20 fine. These minimums are easy to hit as long as you pay attention to your team.
