Due to all the changes in baseball, and the short season, we need to adapt. I am updating the prize money and entry fee. It is now only $50 to get in, but still $1 per player added.
Prizes will be
1st $500, 2nd $200, and 3rd $100.
9 weeks total, with a 7 week regular season and 4 teams making a 2 week playoff.
I lowered the innings minimum to 25, and I am considering dropping to 20. This year just seems so up in the air. -
Welcome back to the 2020 baseball season. Almost everyone is a veteran of this league, but I will recap the important rules here anyway.
The league fee is $150. You should pay me on Venmo before the draft.
Free agent pickups cost $1 each and we have a max of 3 per week.
Prizes
Regular season division winners get $150
3rd place gets $300
2nd place gets $600
1st place gets $1200 plus all free agent money. (Last year was 662, and 2018 was 733)
We have a minimum innings pitched of 30 per week. If you fail to reach 30 innings you lose all 6 pitching categories and we fine you $20. Please manage appropriately and do not make me enforce this. It screws up the league for everyone.
We also have a minimum plate appearances per week of 100. This is really easy to get, and is only in place to guard against benching all of your hitters really early. Strategy sometimes makes it a smart option to bench hitters later in the week, but we don’t want people benching players from Monday on. Yahoo doesn’t track this, so if you think this has happened, let me know. It also comes with a $20 fine and I will try to change all categories so that the person loses all 6 hitting.
All trades need to be approved by me. I generally will approve them as soon as I see them unless they seem ridiculous.
