    • Swats 15th home run
De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a triple and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Yankees.

Advice: De La Cruz took Caleb Ferguson yard in the fifth inning, extending the Reds' advantage to 5-0. The speedster also legged out his sixth triple of the season, his third in the last five games. De La Cruz has generated multiple hits in seven of his last 10 games, batting .349 with a pair of homers, eight runs and three steals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:50 pm
    • Swats extra-inning homer
Alonso went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Nationals in 10 innings.

Advice: Alonso capped off the Mets' five-run 10th inning with a two-run blast off Robert Garcia, the first baseman's 18th home run of the campaign. He's riding a six-game hit streak, batting 8-for-24 (.333) with six runs and five RBI during that span. Alonso owns an .811 OPS with a 20.3 percent strikeout rate. • Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:31 pm
    • Still out Tuesday
Mountcastle (illness) isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: An illness kept Mountcastle out of Sunday's game versus Texas, and he'll remain sidelined Tuesday as he continues to feel under the weather. Ryan O'Hearn will get the nod at first base while Heston Kjerstad serves as the DH. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:29 pm
    • M’s drop Julio Rodríguez to seventh in lineup
Julio Rodríguez is batting seventh on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s the lowest Rodriguez has batted in the majors in quite some time as his frosty start to the 2024 campaign continues. The 23-year-old generational talent has really struggled to get going this season at the plate, batting .247/.297/.327 with seven homers and 17 steals across 360 plate appearances. He’s been ice-cold of late, hitting .069 (2-for-29) over his last seven games. It’s possible taking some pressure off him to produce in the heart of Seattle’s lineup will help him get back on track. We’ll see. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:26 pm
    • Ryan Mountcastle remains out Tuesday due to illness
Ryan Mountcastle (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle remains out of the lineup for the third straight contest due to an ongoing illness. The 27-year-old first baseman’s absence has led to some additional at-bats for Ryan O’Hearn and top prospect Heston Kjerstad in the meantime. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:15 pm
    • Jack Flaherty not starting Wednesday vs. Twins
Jack Flaherty will not make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Twins due to an ongoing back issue.

Advice: Flaherty remained back in Los Angeles following last Thursday’s lackluster start against the Angels where he allowed five runs over 5 2/3 innings to receive a pain-reducing injection in his back. The 28-year-old righty, who has been excellent this season in his Detroit debut, is expected to take the ball next week against the Twins. It doesn’t sound like he’ll require a trip to the injured list, but back issues can be complicated matters and could certainly impact his on-field performance moving forward. • Skipping start this week
Flaherty will receive a second pain-killing injection in his back and will have his next start pushed back to next week, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Flaherty had been slated to start Wednesday in Minnesota but will be held back until next week for a home matchup against the Guardians. It's worrisome that Flaherty has now had two turns skipped over the last month with back problems, but it appears he will again avoid a stint on the injured list. Keider Montero will start Wednesday in Flaherty's place. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:44 pm
    • Another rehab start Saturday
Cabrera (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Cabrera is slated to throw 80-to-85 pitches in what will likely be his final rehab start before rejoining the Marlins' rotation. The right-hander has posted a 4.50 ERA and 15:4 K:BB over 10 innings in his first three rehab outings. Cabrera has been out since early May with a right shoulder impingement.
