      Josh Hader lost after giving up a go-ahead homer in a tie game Sunday against the Mariners.

      Advice: It’s the save situations in which Hader has struggled, but the loss today came after he was asked to preserve a tie. Cal Raleigh’s homer was the second surrendered by Hader in 14 2/3 innings this year.       Gilbert (3-0) earned the win in Saturday's 5-0 victory over Houston, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six batters over eight scoreless innings.

      Advice: Gilbert tied a season-high mark with four walks, but that didn't hurt him since he gave up just a pair of hits (both singles). The right-hander notched his fifth straight quality start and lowered his season ERA to 1.69, fifth lowest among qualified MLB pitchers.       Logan Gilbert fired eight shutout innings on Saturday in a win over the Astros.

      Advice: Gilbert continued putting zeroes on the scoreboard against a loaded Astros lineup, needing just 96 pitches (60 strikes) to navigate eight dominant frames. The 27-year-old burgeoning fantasy ace finished with six strikeouts and only allowed six baserunners as Houston’s lineup mustered just five batted balls with an exit velocity over 95 mph. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of his seven starts so far this season. He’ll bring a pristine 1.69 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 50/13 K/BB ratio across 48 innings (seven starts) into a road tilt on Thursday against the Twins. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:14 pm
       
    • Blows save, takes first loss Friday
      Foley (2-1) allowed two runs on four hits without recording an out to blow the save and take the loss Friday against the Yankees.

      Advice: Foley came on in the ninth inning to protect a 1-0 Detroit lead, but the righty struggled and blew his first save of the season in 10 chances. He's still sitting with a solid 2.63 ERA overall and should remain the team's closer for now, though it's a fluid situation with Alex Lange, Shelby Miller and Andrew Chafin all potentially waiting in the wings if Foley stumbles again.       Hunter Greene blanked the Orioles for 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision Friday.

      Advice: Greene, who also pitched shutout ball last time out, lowered his ERA to 3.12. Still, the Reds are somehow 1-6 when he pitches this season, despite being 15-10 the rest of the time.       Greene did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing five hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Greene had to contend with some traffic Friday, though he'd ultimately make it through 5.2 innings unscathed. The right-hander fell an out shy of a quality start, though it's his second consecutive scoreless outing -- he blanked the Rangers over seven innings in his last start. Overall, Greene's 1-2 with a 3.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB through 40.1 innings. He's tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks in his next start.       Advice: Hader needed 22 pitches (13 strikes) to finish off the 5-3 win, coming away with his third save as an Astro. It was his first save since April 19 and he's converted three of his four opportunities so far. He's produced an impressive 23:7 K:BB despite an unsightly 5.93 ERA through 13.2 frames.     • Yusei Kikuchi sharp in no-decision versus Nats
      Yusei Kikuchi limited the Nationals to one run in six innings and fanned seven in a no-decision Friday.

      Advice: Kikuchi left with a two-run lead and then watched the bullpen give up seven runs in two innings. This is probably the Jays’ ugliest loss yet, particularly since they were facing Patrick Corbin. Kikuchi is certainly doing his part thus far, amassing a 2.72 ERA and a 43/9 K/BB ratio in 39 2/3 innings.       Advice: Hader did walk a batter to put the tying run at the plate, but the left-hander was able to get a pair of strikeouts to lower his ERA to 5.93 and also pick up his third save.
