      Hoffman picked up the save in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Rangers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Jose Alvarado pitched the eighth inning Thursday, leaving the ninth to Hoffman who'd set down the Rangers in order for his fourth save of the year. The Phillies continue to utilize a high-leverage approach to their bullpen, which has resulted in save opportunities for Hoffman when Alvarado is needed earlier in games.       Jeff Hoffman was able to throw a scoreless ninth to procure a save Thursday against the Rangers.

      Advice: It’s the fourth save of the season for Hoffman. The 31-year-old has been outstanding in his relief role with the Phillies, as the scoreless frame lowers his ERA to 1.25. It’s never been a question about stuff with Hoffman, and he’s been able to apply his arsenal in the bullpen quite nicely. The only issue from a fantasy perspective is a lack of save chances.       Advice: Wheeler scattered five hits with two walks, and he struck out five. The blemishes on the scoreboard came on an Adolis Garcia homer in the second and an infield single by Ezekiel Duran in the seventh. Outside of that, it was another strong outing for the 33-year-old that sees him lower his ERA to 2.53 as he worked at least seven innings for the third time in four starts.       Matt Chapman hit a three-run homer Thursday to help the Giants to a win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Chapman remains hot, and his three-run blast off Hunter Stratton got San Francisco back in the game; turning a 6-2 deficit into a 6-5 game. The 31-year-old has homered eight times, and three of those blasts have come in his last three games.
