    • Sliding back to setup role
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Ginkel will go back to a setup role upon the return of Paul Sewald (oblique), Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Lovullo wants to throw Sewald back into the closer role immediately, saying that if a save opportunity should arise Tuesday, it would go to Sewald. Ginkel filled in admirably as the temporary closer, going 5-for-7 in save chances while posting a 2.57 ERA and 14:3 K:BB over 14 innings. Certainly, it's a major hit to his fantasy value as he shifts back to being a setup man. Rotowire.com Today, 1:49 pm
    • Goes yard again
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez provided the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, tagging Jack Flaherty for a solo homer. Ramirez has now generated a home run in back-to-back games but is still trying to dig his way out of a slump. In his last 10 appearances, Ramirez is 5-for-35 (.143) with five RBI, five runs scored and no multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:17 pm

    • Works eighth inning
Duran struck out two batters in a scoreless eighth inning and earned a hold during Monday's win over Seattle.

Advice: Duran was called upon to face the Mariners' 9-1-2 hitters in a 3-1 contest. After earning a save in each of his first two appearances of 2024, he's picked up a hold in his last two games. Duran is the primary closing option in Minnesota but it appears there may be more of a committee than expected. Last season, he converted 27 of 32 saves and picked up only one hold. • Provides all the offense Monday
Greene went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Greene got Detroit on the board early, belting a leadoff home run against Triston McKenzie in the top of the first inning. However, he and his teammates went quiet from there. Fantasy managers won't mind too much, as the young outfielder now has four home runs over his last seven games, which has pushed him up to nine long balls for the season. Greene hit a career-high 11 home runs last year, and it looks like he should fly past that number in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:43 pm

    • Riley Greene hits homer on first pitch versus CLE
Riley Greene went 1-for-5 with a home run on the first pitch of the game against the Guardians on Monday.

Advice: Greene didn’t wait long to get the Tigers on the board, unfortunately for Detroit, it was the only run of the game. The 23-year-old’s solo shot went 424 feet to deep right center field and he now has nine home runs on the season. The only other players with more home runs in baseball this season? Gunnar Henderson, Shohei Ohtani, Marcell Ozuna and Mike Trout. Pretty good company. Greene is slashing .268/.393/.946 with 17 RBI through 35 games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:40 pm

    • José Ramírez homers in second-straight game
José Ramírez went 1-for-4 with a home run in Monday’s 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramírez’s go-ahead home run came in the sixth inning as it hugged the right side of the diamond and hit the foul pole. It was a much-needed run for Cleveland who are now 23-12 through its first 35 games of the season — the team’s best start since 2011. The 31-year-old is slashing .232/.280/.435 with seven home runs and 28 RBI this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:40 pm

    • Nick Castellanos finally collects first double
Nick Castellanos doubled, singled and walked twice versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Each time it looks like Castellanos might be turning the corner, he’s gone right back to slumping the next day. Still, this rates as his best game so far this season. The double was hit 389 feet and would have been a homer in nine ballparks. Incredibly, it was the first two-bagger of the year for a guy who once had 58 of them. He finished with 37 last season. • Logan O’Hoppe returns from hand injury Monday
Logan O’Hoppe (hand) is back in the starting lineup Monday against the Pirates.

Advice: O’Hoppe missed a couple of games with a contusion on his hand. He’ll hit hit fifth and be the starting catcher for the Halos against Mitch Keller and the Bucs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Rangers place Wyatt Langford on IL
Rangers placed OF Wyatt Langford on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 22-year-old is hitting .224/.295/.293 in 129 plate appearances with one home run, 13 runs, 11 RBI, and one steal. He’s striking out only 22 percent of the time with a seven percent swinging strike rate so there isn’t any major glaring concern; however, the results simply haven’t been there. The team has said Langford could miss a month and there’s no guarantee that the Rangers will activate him immediately when he is healthy enough to play. The Rangers could allow him to have an extended rehab to help him correct any issues before putting him back in the MLB lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:20 pm
