      Justin Steele fired 4 2/3 shutout innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Padres.

      Advice: Steele limited San Diego’s offense to just three hits and one walk, notching a pair of strikeouts, in his return at Wrigley Field following a five-weeks absence due to a hamstring strain. The 28-year-old ace averaged nearly 92 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one and got his pitch count up to 68 (43 strikes) before being lifted in the fifth inning.     • Maikel Garcia drives in two in win against MIL
      Maikel Garcia went 1-for-2 with a two-run RBI single to help lift the Royals to a 3-2 win versus the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done. Garcia got great contact on a sinker off Elvis Peguero in the sixth inning that got in between shortstop and second base. According to Statcast, the hit probability was just 41%, but with an exit velocity of 106.5 MPH, Garcia definitely earned the hit.       Steele allowed three hits and a walk over 4.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out two during the loss to San Diego.

      Advice: Steele made his first start since straining his hamstring during his Opening Day outing. He showed no signs of rust but was clearly on a limit, as he threw only 68 pitches. He gave up one extra-base hit but otherwise kept San Diego's bats quiet. Steele has given up one run through 9.1 innings in two starts this season.       Advice: In his most recent start Friday against the Astros, Kirby contended with a right knee issue and was lifted after just 88 pitches. Kirby was sent in for an MRI on Saturday, and though the Mariners aren't disclosing the results of his imaging, neither the pitcher nor manager Scott Servais believe the knee issue is anything concerning, per MLB.com. The Mariners' tune could change if Kirby's knee is still bothering him following a between-starts bullpen session, but for now, fantasy managers should plan on the right-hander being available to start Wednesday without restrictions.       Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI on Sunday against the Mets.

      Advice: Diaz is hitting just .235 across his 150 plate appearances of the season, though his results have begun to turn around of late. Sunday marked his third straight start with two hits, and he also has a double, four RBI and a run scored in that span. Diaz has only two barrels in 114 batted ball events to begin the season, though he should continue to see hits fall in at an increased clip as he's maintained a 15.3 percent strikeout rate -- in line with his career norm.     • Starting to hit for power
      Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base Sunday against the Mets.

      Advice: Arozarena took Edwin Diaz yard in the ninth inning to tie the game, tallying his fifth home run of the season and second in his last three starts. He also swiped his fifth base of the year and has yet to be caught. It's been an ugly start to the season for Arozarena, and even with this burst of power, he has failed to record multiple hits in a game since March 30. The slow start has been the result of some bad luck -- he has a .165 BABIP -- but he's also struck out at an elevated 29.8 percent clip across 141 plate appearances.     • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.
