    • José Ramírez swats 20th homer, Guardians top O’s
José Ramírez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Monday, powering the Guardians to a 3-2 victory over the Orioles.

Advice: Ramírez kicked off the scoring during Monday’s series opener at Camden Yards with a run-scoring single in the opening before delivering a go-ahead solo shot -- his 20th round-tripper of the season -- off Orioles rookie southpaw Cade Povich in the sixth inning. The 31-year-old fantasy stalwart has been the model of consistency for nearly a decade at this point and has shown zero signs of slowing down at all. He’s been on a roll over the last few weeks, batting .317 (38-for-120) with 11 homers and eight steals over his last 30 games. He’s at 20 homers and 15 steals on the season with a real shot at notching his sixth career 20/20 campaign before the All-Star break. Unreal. Rotoworld Today, 6:27 pm

    • Gabriel Arias ejected from game in ninth
Gabriel Arias was ejected from Monday’s game in the ninth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Arias brought up the strike two pitch with umpire Jeremy Riggs after swinging and missing at strike three and was thrown out, even though he didn’t seem to say much at all. Arias had a double and a run scored in four at-bats on the night. Rotoworld Today, 6:07 pm

    • Tyler Black takes seat against right-hander
Tyler Black is on the bench against a righty Monday for the first time since being recalled last week.

Advice: Black sat against a lefty in his first day back in the majors, but he had started versus four straight righties since. Tonight, though, the Brewers wanted to give Christian Yelich a day off his feet and put him in the DH spot. Black is 3-for-11 with three walks since being recalled. The Brewers aren’t currently interested in putting Black anywhere other than first base or DH, so when Yelich or someone else besides Rhys Hoskins DHs, there’s no room for Black. • Advances to running bases
Rendon (hamstring) was cleared to run the bases Monday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rendon continues to take steps forward in his rehab, and Bollinger notes that Monday's workout is the first time he's been given the green light to circle the bases since suffering a left hamstring strain. The 34-year-old remains without a firm timeline for a return, though the club should have an idea of what his minor-league rehab assignment will look like in the near future. • Recalled by San Diego
The Padres recalled Rosario from Triple-A El Paso on Monday.

Advice: Rosario started the season with the big club, slashing .250/.294/.542 with three home runs and six RBI over 52 plate appearances before he was optioned to the minors May 5 with Manny Machado returning to third base. In Triple-A, Rosario was slashing .289/.400/.622 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI before his second call-up to the majors. To make room for Rosario on the 26-man roster, Jose Azocar was optioned to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 4:23 pm

    • Sent to Triple-A
The Nationals optioned Lipscomb to Triple-A Rochester on Monday.

Advice: Lipscomb was recalled from Rochester on June 12 when Joey Gallo (hamstring) was placed on the injured list. He appeared in five games for Washington following his call-up, going 1-for-11 over that span. Lipscomb will head back to Triple-A to get steadier playing time, with his demotion opening up a spot on the 26-man active roster for designated hitter/outfielder Harold Ramirez, whose contract was selected from Rochester. • Nationals option Trey Lipscomb to Triple-A
Nationals optioned INF Trey Lipscomb to Triple-A Rochester.

Advice: This will result in a little more time for Nick Senzel at third base. Lipscomb was batting .237/.311/.271 with 10 steals in 133 plate appearances for the Nationals. Rotoworld Today, 4:02 pm

    • Padres bring back Eguy Rosario from Triple-A
Padres recalled INF Eguy Rosario from Triple-A El Paso.

Advice: Rosario was sent down in early May in spite of an .836 OPS in 52 plate appearances, and he’d since come in at 1.022 in Triple-A. The problem is that he’s really just limited to second and third defensively, and the Padres don’t have much use him at those spots. He’ll probably see some time against lefties between DH and second base. Rotoworld Today, 3:47 pm

    • Taking seat against lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Lopez and fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Sheets and Andrew Benintendi will hit the bench as the White Sox go with an all-right-handed-hitting lineup versus Dodgers southpaw James Paxton. Danny Mendick will replace Lopez at second base and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:29 pm
