    • Goes yard Wednesday
Heim went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Milwaukee in 10 innings.

Advice: Heim and Nathaniel Lowe hit back-to-back homers in the fourth inning, snapping a 12-game homerless streak for Heim. The outing was also Heim's first multi-hit game since June 5. The catcher is slashing .234/.288/.344 with seven home runs across 244 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:12 pm

    • Racks up two homers, six RBI
Higashioka went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in Wednesday's 8-5 win against the Nationals.

Advice: Higashioka drove in all but two of San Diego's eight runs. He swatted a two-run homer to kick off the scoring in the second inning and capped his offensive outburst with a grand slam in the eighth. The grand slam was the first of Higashioka's career, while the multi-homer effort was his fifth as a big leaguer. He's hitting only .207 on the season but has otherwise provided good production with eight homers and 20 RBI in 32 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:11 pm
    • Francisco Álvarez unstoppable in win
Francisco Álvarez went 3-for-3 with a home run, double, walk, three runs scored, and three RBI in the Mets’ 12-2 win over the Yankees.

Advice: It’s very easy to forget that Álvarez is only 22-years-old. It’s even easier to forget he just missed nearly two months with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Since returning, he’s slashing .414/.500/.732 with 3 homers, 11 RBI, seven walks, and eight strikeouts in 14 games. His offensive ceiling is absurd. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:50 pm
    • Three hits in Wednesday's win
Diaz went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The 25-year-old backstop extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with seven RBI. Diaz has yet to go yard since taking a foul tip off his finger and missing a few games earlier this month, but his current hot stretch has pushed his slash line on the season up to .271/.298/.415 with seven homers, 32 runs and 40 RBI in 69 contests. • Drives in two in Wednesday's win
Fermin went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Marlins.

Advice: The Royals' offense was stuck in neutral until the eighth inning, but Fermin capped a five-run outburst with a two-run single. The 29-year-old had been on the bench the prior three games with Michael Massey serving as the DH in his return from a lower-back strain, which kept Salvador Perez behind the plate. But playing time should open up for Fermin again once Massey is ready to resume defensive duties at second base. On the season, Fermin is slashing .294/.340/.434 with four homers, 18 RBI and 21 runs in 48 contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:03 pm

    • Higashioka homers twice, plates six to lead Padres
Kyle Higashioka had a monster day at the dish in Wednesday’s 8-5 victory over the Nationals, going 3-for-6 with a pair of homers, three runs scored and six RBI.

Advice: The 34-year-old backstop got the scoring started in the ballgame with a 386-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run blast off of Nationals’ southpaw DJ Herz in the second inning. He then singled and scored on an RBI knock by Jurickson Profar in the fourth. Higashioka then capped off the afternoon with a 390-foot (104.2 mph EV) grand slam off of Tanner Rainey in the eighth that made it 8-0 put the game out of reach. He’s now slashing .207/.240/.522 with eight homers and 20 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:47 pm
    • Freddy Fermin plates two in win over Marlins
Freddy Fermin went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday, lifting the Royals to a 5-1 comeback win over the Marlins.

Advice: Fermin capped off Kansas City’s five-run explosion in the eighth inning with a two-run single off Marlins reliever JT Chargois. The 29-year-old backstop has really turned it on lately, batting .341 (30-for-88) with three homers and 16 RBI over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:25 pm

    • Yainer Diaz tallies three hits, two RBI in win
Yainer Diaz went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Astros’ win over the Rockies.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a run-scoring single off Rockies starter Ryan Feltner in the fourth inning before tacking on another RBI single a couple frames later to give Houston a six-run advantage at the time. The 25-year-old backstop got off to a frosty start this season at the dish, but he’s rounded into form of late, batting .351 (20-for-57) with two homers and one steal over his past 15 games. • Connor Wong (paternity) expected back on Friday
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Connor Wong is expected to return from the paternity list on Friday.

Advice: The hard-hitting backstop missed the first half of the week to attend the birth of his child, but expect him to be right back behind the dish for Friday’s series opener against the Padres. The 28-year-old backstop has been a force at the plate this season, slashing .330/.390/.480 with seven homers, 29 RBI and three stolen bases in 223 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:17 pm
