    • Willson Contreras reaches four times vs. White Sox
Willson Contreras went 3-for-3 and scored two runs with a stolen base against the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Contreras also drew a walk. The 31-year-old is off to a much better start than the one he had in his first year with the Cardinals, as the four-reach game sees his line improve to .281/.395/.631 over 96 at-bats. Rotoworld Friday, 7:58 pm
    • Bobby Miller (shoulder) throws bullpen on Friday
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session on Friday.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler will likely repeat the process another time or two before facing live hitters, but he’s trending in the right direction. Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts noted that Miller should be able to ramp up quickly once he’s ready to face live hitters, so take that for what it’s worth. Rotoworld Friday, 5:11 pm

    • Throws off mound
Miller (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Miller has been on the injured list since April 13 due to inflammation in his right shoulder, and Friday marked his first time throwing off a mound since then. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he isn't sure how many more bullpen sessions Miller will need to throw before he progresses to facing live hitters, so the 25-year-old righty will likely remain without a clear return timeline until he gets to that point. • Mike Trout undergoes successful knee surgery
Mike Trout underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair the meniscus tear in his left knee.

Advice: Officially, Trout underwent a partial medial meniscectomy. While there’s still no official timetable for his return, the Angels remain optimistic that he’ll be able to return to the lineup at some point during the 2024 season. Unfortunately, that leaves fantasy managers in leagues without injured list spots having to carry a zero on the bench for an indefinite amount of time, or risk the pain of throwing him back into the free agent pool and not being able to reacquire him when/if he does return. • Undergoes surgery
Trout underwent surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The three-time American League MVP suffered the injury Monday against the Phillies, and there wasn't much of a delay before he went under the knife. Trout remains without an official timeline for his return, but he'll rehab in Anaheim for the foreseeable future. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:40 pm

    • Julio Urías pleads no contest to misdemeanor
Julio Urías pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge earlier this week.

Advice: Urías will be placed on 36 months’ probation. He must also complete 30 days of community service, complete a year-long domestic violence counseling program, pay a fee to a domestic violence fund, pay restitution to the victim and abide by a protective order. He’s also forbidden from possessing any weapons. With the criminal proceedings concluded, Major League Baseball will presumably conclude its own investigation into the matter. The 27-year-old left-hander has been on administrative leave since last September and is currently a free agent. He will likely become the first player in league history to receive multiple suspensions under the joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy. It’s extremely unlikely he’ll ever pitch in the majors ever again. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:53 pm

    • Enters no contest plea
Urias pleaded no contest Wednesday to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge related to his Sept. 3 arrest in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: As a result of the no contest plea, Urias had his four other misdemeanor charges stemming from the arrest dismissed. He was placed on 36 months of summary probation and ordered to complete 30 days of community labor, as well as a year-long domestic violence counseling course. Additionally, the 27-year-old left-hander must pay a domestic violence fund fee, not possess any weapons, not use any force or violence, pay restitution to the victim and abide by a protective order. Currently a free agent after his contract with the Dodgers expired following the 2023 season, Urias isn't yet facing discipline from Major League Baseball, though the league launched its own investigation into the Sept. 3 arrest that could be completed soon now that a resolution to Urias' legal situation has been reached. Urias has previously served a suspension related to MLB's domestic violence policy, as he was handed a 20-game ban in August 2019 for an incident that occurred earlier that year. • Making rehab start Tuesday
Bello (lat) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Portland on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Bello resumed mound work this week as he comes back from right lat tightness and has now been cleared for game action. He's missed just two weeks of action, so Bello may need just the one rehab start if all goes well. That sets him up to return as soon as May 12 against the Nationals. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:37 am

    • Collects three hits Wednesday
Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's 8-0 victory.

Advice: Betts hasn't homered over his past 17 games, but he continues to be productive, collecting seven multi-hit efforts over that stretch while slashing .406/.481/.536. The move to shortstop this season hasn't impacted the All-Star's offensive production, as Betts is leading MLB in hits (49) and OBP (.481) while tying for first in runs (29) and walks (26). Betts' 1.104 OPS also leads all major-leaguers. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:33 am
