      Webb came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: The right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and eighth of 2024 on 103 pitches (72 strikes), and Webb left the mound in line for his fifth win of the year only to watch Camilo Doval blow his first save of the season in the ninth inning.       Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

      Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season.     • Logan Webb let down by bullpen on Tuesday
      Logan Webb allowed two runs on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: Webb left the game with a 5-2 lead and watched as the Giants blew a 6-2 lead in the bottom of the ninth before losing in extra innings. Webb went back to a change-up-heavy approach on Tuesday, registering just a 17 percent whiff rate but a 28 percent CSW. However, he also allowed an average exit velocity on contact of 96.7 mph and allowed 11 hard-hit baseballs. Lucky for him, just one of those went for extra bases and he was able to lower his ERA to 3.03 on the year. He has a solid start lined up against the Mets this weekend.     • Nabs third save
      Hudson struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Hudson is on a five-inning scoreless streak dating back to his May 8 save versus the Marlins. He's served as the Dodgers' top closing option since Evan Phillips (hamstring) went on the injured list earlier in May, though save chances have been sparse. Hudson has two saves since Phillips was hurt, while J.P. Feyereisen, who was reassigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City over the weekend, is the only other reliever to pick up a save in that span.       Suarez picked up a save against Atlanta in the first game of a doubleheader Monday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

      Advice: For most of the contest it seemed unlikely that Suarez would be deployed, as Atlanta got out to an early lead and was ahead 5-0 through four innings. However, San Diego fought back and took a one-run lead in the eighth, giving Suarez a chance to close things out in the ninth. He did so easily, needing just seven pitches to set down the side in order. Suarez had been used in the eighth inning to face the heart of Atlanta's order his previous time on the mound, but there's little doubt that he's San Diego's primary closer.       Daniel Hudson pitched a perfect ninth for his third save Monday against the Diamondbacks.

      José Berríos defeated the White Sox by allowing three runs in six innings on Monday.

      Advice: Three things worked in favor of Berríos on a day in which he was lacking his best stuff: he was facing the White Sox, he had CB Bucknor working his own special brand of magic behind the plate and he was facing the White Sox.
