It was his second straight game with a long ball, and he's gone deep three times in his past four games.       McKenzie didn't factor into the decision Monday against Detroit, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: McKenzie settled in nicely after allowing a solo home run to Riley Greene on his first pitch of the day, striking out three straight to close out the first and keeping the Tigers from adding on more runs. He's now allowed two or fewer runs and struck out at least six batters in four consecutive starts, bringing his ERA to 3.97 through 34 innings. However, McKenzie still appears to have the training wheels on after missing most of the 2023 season with elbow and shoulder injuries, as he's been kept under 85 pitches in five of his seven starts this year.       Teoscar Hernández hit a solo homer while going 2-for-4 in a win over the Marlins on Monday.

      Advice: He also singled. It’s the ninth homer of the season for Hernández, and one of four the Dodgers hit off Marlins starter Roddery Muñoz in Monday’s victory. The outfielder has also driven in 26 runs over 37 games with a decent — if unspectacular — slash of .259/.325/.490. So far, so good in Hernández’s first season as a member of the Dodgers.       Advice: Keller stymied the Angels on Monday night en route to his second career complete game -- his first was a shutout May 8, 2023 against Colorado. The Pirates right-hander induced a whopping 64.0 percent groundball-rate, easily his highest in a start this season, outpacing the 37.5 percent rate he generated on the season prior to Monday.       Mitch Keller pitched his second-career complete game on Monday and picked up his third win of the season against the Angels.

      Advice: Pittsburgh’s ace went the distance on Monday as he allowed just one earned run on five hits and struck out five. His lone run came off a solo homer from Zach Neto. Keller threw 109 total pitches with 75 of them called strikes. In the final frame, Keller got Mickey Moniak and Taylor Ward to strike out and then had Willie Calhoun pop up to left center field.       Triston McKenzie allowed one earned run and stuck out six in five innings against the Tigers on Monday.

      Advice: McKenzie allowed a home run to Riley Greene on the first pitch of the game and after that, the 26-year-old shut down the Tigers’ offense. McKenzie has at least six strikeouts in four straight games and has gotten his season ERA under four for the first time this season (3.97 ERA).       Munoz (2-2) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, firing 1.1 perfect innings during which he recorded a strikeout.

      Advice: Munoz continued what is turning into his best stretch of pitching this season, locating eight of his 11 pitches for strikes on his way to his ninth scoreless effort in the last 10 appearances, including his fifth straight. The right-hander has whittled his ERA and WHIP to 2.03 and 1.13, respectively, and he'd also recorded saves in three consecutive appearances before Sunday's victory.       Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base Sunday against the Mets.

      Advice: Arozarena took Edwin Diaz yard in the ninth inning to tie the game, tallying his fifth home run of the season and second in his last three starts. He also swiped his fifth base of the year and has yet to be caught. It's been an ugly start to the season for Arozarena, and even with this burst of power, he has failed to record multiple hits in a game since March 30. The slow start has been the result of some bad luck -- he has a .165 BABIP -- but he's also struck out at an elevated 29.8 percent clip across 141 plate appearances. Hernandez is showing increased signs of power from a year ago but strikeouts still remain an issue.
