• Strong start at Amarillo
De Los Santos was named the Texas League Player of the Month for April after leading the circuit with 32 hits, seven home runs and 58 total bases for Double-Amarillo, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: De Los Santos spent the spring with the Guardians, who selected him in the Rule 5 draft, but he did not make Cleveland's roster. The 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic picked up at Amarillo where he left off in 2023. De Los Santos was added to the development list in 2023 following a rough start, but he crushed Double-A pitching in the second half of the season, posting a .322/.340/.596 line after July 14. The power-hitting prospect made strides at the plate while with the Guardians, developing a more "major league approach," according to Amarillo manager Tim Bogar, who feels the experience in a major league spring training camp was helpful. To become a well-rounded prospect, De Los Santos needs to work on his defense. He played both third and first base since being signed as a 16-year-old, but the organization plans to limit him to first base only going forward. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago
  • Getting rest day
Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Triolo will take a seat for the series finale after he started in each of the past 11 games while getting on base at a .333 clip over that stretch. Alika Williams will step in at second base while Triolo rests Sunday. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

  • Multi-hit effort in Saturday's win
France went 2-for-4 with two runs in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: The veteran played the table-setting role in the victory, scoring the first and final runs of the game on a Cal Raleigh double play groundout and home run, respectively. France has a pair of two-hit efforts in the last three games, but zooming further out, he's sitting on a lackluster .213/.260/.362 slash line over the 50 plate appearances covering his last 13 contests. • Anthony Rizzo sitting Sunday vs. Tigers
Anthony Rizzo is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo will get a day off a day after hitting a three-run homer. The 34-year-old will get a break with Oswaldo Cabrera getting a start across the diamond at first base and Jon Berti handling third. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 am

  • Four hits in team debut
Arraez went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Arraez wasted no time in establishing a good first impression with his new team, smacking a leadoff double on the second pitch he saw from Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before coming around to score San Diego's first run of the contest. The newly acquired infielder would add another three singles on the night, with the latter one leading to an eight-run seventh inning for the Padres. It marked Arraez's second game this season with four hits, and he's now registered at least one knock in seven straight. Rotowire.com Today, 7:32 am

  • Receiving Sunday off
Rizzo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo started the Yankees' first 35 games of the season but will receive his first day off Sunday, giving him two straight days of rest since a team day off follows Monday. Oswaldo Cabrera is stepping in at first base while Jon Berti starts at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 am

  • Collects 12th RBI
Sheets went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Sheets opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and also came around to score in the sixth frame after earning a walk as the leadoff hitter. He remains a regular in the lineup, most often starting in right field, and has primarily settled into the third spot in the order. Sheets has hit well for much of the season, and he has at least one hit in 12 of his last 15 starts while hitting .273 with four RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:04 am

  • Racks up four hits Saturday
Lowe went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs and two RBI against the Royals in Saturday's 15-4 victory.

Advice: The Rangers pounded Kansas City pitching for 17 hits in the win, and Lowe was a big contributor from the No. 3 slot in the lineup with a season-high four base knocks. The first baseman began the campaign on the injured list due to a right oblique strain, but he's slid into Texas' offense comfortably since returning, reaching base safely via hit or walk in all but one of his 13 contests. Lowe is slashing .333/.418/.458 with a home run, nine runs, four RBI and a stolen base through 55 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:16 pm
  • Homer, steal in win
Wisdom went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Wisdom, who exceeded 20 homers each of the past three seasons, finally got on the board with his first long ball of 2024. He also added his second steal of the season, and his second steal since the calendar flipped to May. Wisdom has totaled just 20 at-bats since he returned from the injured list April 18, as most of his playing time has come against left-handed pitching, though he's now been the DH in two of the Cubs' last three games versus opposing right-handers.
