• Out with hamstring strain
The Dodgers placed Phillips on the 15-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to May 4, with a right hamstring strain, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Advice: The right-hander presumably suffered the injury during Friday's appearance against Atlanta, when he struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning amid a 2-2 tie. Manager Dave Roberts said Phillips' injury is a Grade 1 strain, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, so the absence may not be a lengthy one. Daniel Hudson is the likely favorite to fill in at closer for the Dodgers. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Dodgers place Phillips on IL with hamstring injury
Dodgers placed RHP Evan Phillips on the 15-day injured list with a hamstring strain.

Advice: This is a substantial loss to the Dodgers’ bullpen and for fantasy managers who roster Phillips. The right-hander will be out of action for at least two weeks, and managers will want to make sure to follow for further updates on his status. Blake Treinen was activated off the injured list in the corresponding transaction, and he’s someone who could see save chances with Phillips out. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Settling in as regular first baseman
Singleton will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Mariners, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Rather than Singleton, the recent arrival of prospect Joey Loperfido from Triple-A Sugar Land has been most detrimental to outfielders Mauricio Dubon and Jake Meyers. In fact, with Jose Abreu getting optioned to the minors and with Loperfido seeing all of his opportunities to date in left field and center field, Singleton has settled into a regular role at first base for Houston. He'll stay in the lineup for a sixth straight contest after going 4-for-16 with a pair of home runs and walks over the previous five games. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

  • Not in Sunday's lineup
Haniger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Houston.

Advice: Haniger started the previous five games but will hit the bench Sunday after he went 2-for-20 during that stretch. Josh Rojas will receive a start in the outfield while Luis Urias starts at third base. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago
  • Gets third straight start
Miranda will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Carlos Correa's return from the 10-day injured list Monday appeared to have pushed Miranda back into a reserve role, but the 25-year-old has since seen his playing time pick back up after Byron Buxton (knee) landed on the IL on Friday. With Willi Castro shifting to the outfield to cover for Buxton, Miranda has started at the hot corner in all three games this weekend. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Out of Sunday's lineup
Gorman is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Gorman is 1-for-17 with four walks and five strikeouts over his past six games, and he'll receive a day to reset Sunday. Jose Fermin is starting at the keystone and batting eighth in the series finale versus Chicago. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Not starting Sunday
Benintendi is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Benintendi is 1-for-12 over his previous three games and will sit Sunday as lefty Matthew Liberatore pitches for St. Louis. Robbie Grossman is starting in left field and batting leadoff. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
  • Nelson (elbow) off injured list to start Sunday
Diamondbacks activated RHP Ryne Nelson off the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Nelson is back to make a start Sunday against the Padres. The right-hander ended up missing the minimum amount of time while dealing with a bruise on his right elbow. Nelson was shaky in his starts prior to the injury, and fantasy managers should probably look elsewhere for a streaming option. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

  • Mitch Haniger sitting Sunday vs. Astros
Mitch Haniger is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Astros.

Advice: Haniger will get a day of rest for the series finale for the Mariners with Hunter Brown on the bump for the Astros. Luke Raley will hit seventh and handle right field on Haniger’s day off. Rotoworld Today, 8:38 am
