      McArthur pitched a perfect ninth inning and picked up the save over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: McArthur entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 14th save of the season. The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00. On the downside, McArthur has managed just a 4:4 K:BB this month over 10 appearances (nine innings) and hasn't recorded a strikeout in either of his last two outings.       McArthur earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

      Advice: McArthur entered in the ninth frame with Kansas City up by three runs and made quick work of Miami, retiring the side in order on 10 pitches. That netted him his first save since June 6 and his 13th overall this season. McArthur's 18-day span between saves was of no fault of his own -- he didn't see any save opportunities during that stretch, and the only save by any KC pitcher during that period came in a game during which McArthur was used in a high-leverage spot and ended up with the victory.       Advice: The save was McArthur’s 13th of the season. He’s been a little shaky this season with a 4.70 ERA, but the Royals don’t necessarily have a better option to turn to for saves.       Foley struck out one over 1.1 innings to earn the save in a 2-1 win over the White Sox on Friday.

      Advice: Foley was summoned to protect a 2-1 lead with two outs in the eighth inning and induced a groundout from Andrew Vaughn. He hit Paul DeJong with a pitch in the ninth but ended the game with a double play to earn his 13th save of the season. Foley has not allowed an earned run in seven June appearances and is now 13-for-15 in save chances with a 2.67 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 22:9 K:BB over 27 innings in 2024.       Jason Foley recorded the final four outs against the White Sox on Friday night, protecting a one-run advantage to earn his 13th save of the season.

      Advice: Foley came on with the tying run on base with two outs in the eighth inning and got Andrew Vaughn to ground out to second base. He then returned for the ninth where he plunked Paul DeJong with one out in the inning to bring the go-ahead run to the plate again. Andrew Benintendi then lined out to center field and DeJong forgot how many outs there were, easily getting doubled off of first base to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now sports a 2.67 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 22/9 K/BB ratio (26 1/3 innings) to go along with 13 saves in 15 opportunities. Rotoworld Friday, 5:56 pm
