    • Goes deep in win
Soderstrom went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Soderstrom has hit all but one of his homers this season over his last 17 games, batting .262 (16-for-61) in that span. The 22-year-old is at a .229/.321/.449 slash line with seven homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored and five doubles across 41 contests overall. He's seen regular playing time at first base against right-handed pitchers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:18 pm
    • Bryce Harper goes on IL with mild hamstring strain
Phillies placed 1B Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: The Phillies are calling it a low-grade strain, so Harper could be ready to go as soon in early July as his requisite 10 days are up. Kody Clemens will fill in at first base against righties. The Phillies will probably shift Alec Bohm to first and play Edmundo Sosa at third versus lefties. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:54 am

    • Headed to IL with low-grade strain
The Phillies placed Harper on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Harper suffered the injury on the final play of Thursday's loss to the Marlins while running out a grounder. The good news is it's considered a low-grade strain and Harper might return as soon as July 9, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. The Phillies could also play things cautiously and hold him out until after the All-Star break. While Harper is sidelined, Philadelphia will likely shift Alec Bohm over to first base and put Edmundo Sosa at third. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 am

    • Bryce Harper gets good news, still IL bound
Bryce Harper was diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring strain but will go on the 10-day injured list, according to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb.

Advice: The Phillies think there’s a chance Harper could be ready when his 10 days are up. They’ll likely activate Kody Clemens in Harper’s place and use him at first base against righties until Harper returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:23 am

    • Stays hot in win
Steer went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run homer and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Steer hit a leadoff double in the third inning before coming around to score Cincinnati's third run of the contest, adding a two-run shot off Miles Mikolas in the following frame. The 26-year-old has recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games, tallying six RBI over that stretch. Steer's batting .286 in June with four homers, 16 RBI and 11 runs scored. • Dealing with hamstring issue
Harper felt hamstring tightness while running to first base in the ninth inning of Thursday's game against the Marlins, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Harper sustained the injury on a groundout to end the game. Manager Rob Thompson said no more details were known about the issue but that there would be more information Friday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:33 pm

    • Bryce Harper suffers left hamstring injury in loss
Bryce Harper suffered a left hamstring injury during Thursday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Not good. Harper suffered the apparent injury during the ninth inning of Thursday’s loss while attempting to beat out an infield grounder on the final play of the contest. The 31-year-old slugger, who crushed an RBI double off the base of the center-field wall in the opening frame against Marlins southpaw Trevor Rogers for his 1,000th career hit, will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status prior to Friday’s showdown. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:30 pm

    • Takes swings in batting cage
Casas (ribs) took approximately 20 swings in the batting cage Wednesday at about 75-percent effort, Molly Burkhardt of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Casas resumed hitting for the first time since he was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage in late April. He said he felt great during the workout, but he noted that the real test will be to see how sore he is Thursday. If Casas isn't experiencing too much discomfort Thursday, he could be cleared to start hitting off a tee. Casas undoubtedly will require a rehab assignment before returning from the 60-day injured list, and it's uncertain when he might be ready for game action. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:36 pm

    • Triston Casas (rib) swings in cage for first time
Triston Casas, coming back from torn rib cartilage, swung in a cage without incident Wednesday.

Advice: The Red Sox haven’t talked about what Casas’s MRI showed, but the fact that he was allowed in the cage today indicates that it was good news. Casas will see how he feels tomorrow, but an early July return seems possible here. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:28 pm
