    • Earns third win
Holton (3-0) tossed three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win Tuesday against the Guardians. He allowed two hits and struck out three.

Advice: Detroit starter Kenta Maeda struggled in this one, allowing seven runs across only two innings of work, which forced Holton into the game in the third. The lefty pitched much better, however, and he managed to snag his third win as the Tigers poured on the offense in the 11-7 victory. Holton has been mostly good this season outside of allowing five runs while retiring just one batter back on April 26. He'll continue to serve as a long-relief option out of Detroit's bullpen. • Michael Busch hits walk-off homer vs. Padres
Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk-off homer in Tuesday’s win over the Padres.

Advice: The Cubs held a 1-0 lead throughout most of this one, but a two-run homer by Jurickson Profar in the eighth gave the Padres the 2-1 advantage and put Shota Imanaga on the hook for his first loss of the season. Fortunately for Imanaga, a sacrifice fly by Christopher Morel in the bottom of the eighth inning put the Cubs in position to win it in the final frame. Busch made short work of the opportunity, hitting a leadoff homer to right off the first pitch of the inning from Enyel De Los Santos to give the Cubs the 3-2 win. It was Busch’s seventh homer of the season, as the first baseman continues to shine in his first full year of big league play. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

    • Gets bailed out by offense
Maeda allowed seven runs on five hits across only two innings of work but did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 11-7 win over the Guardians. He walked three and struck out one.

Advice: Maeda wasn't very good in this one, but he escaped his second loss of the season thanks to a ton of run support. The veteran righty is now sitting with a subpar 6.75 ERA across his first seven starts with the Tigers, though he had only allowed one run over 11 innings in his previous two appearances coming into Tuesday, so there were some signs he was turning things around before this dud. Home runs have been a problem, as the 36-year-old has now allowed nine of them in 30.2 innings. Maeda will look to keep the ball in the park and post a better line in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Monday against the Marlins. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Bellinger tallies three hits, homers in return
Cody Bellinger went 3-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Padres.

Advice: Bellinger’s solo homer in the fourth gave the Cubbies their first run of the night. It was Bellinger’s sixth homer of the season and third in his last seven games, in what was his return from the 10-day IL. Bellinger extended his hitting streak to nine games in this one, and continues to look hot after getting off to a slow start through the first two weeks of the season. His three-hit performance was as good as we could have hoped for in his first game since April 23. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Profar’s two-run homer not enough in loss to Cubs
Jurickson Profar went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Profar blasted a two-run homer off of Shota Imanaga in the eighth inning to give the Padres a 2-1 lead after being stifled by Imanaga through the first seven frames. The veteran left field continues to stay hot at the plate, as he’s now 10-for-23 in the month of May with two homers and eight RBI. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
    • Alex Verdugo drives in four in win over Astros
Alex Verdugo went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in a 10-3 win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was Verdugo’s fifth on the season and he now has 17 RBI. The big fly wasn’t a Yankee Stadium blast either, with Verdugo hitting it 383 feet at 107.4 mph off the bat. While many expected a power boost for Verdugo moving to Yankee Stadium, he has just a 3.8 percent barrel rate and his lowest fly ball rate since 2021. His HR/FB rate is up, so Verdugo could easily surpass his 13 home runs from last year, but he’s unlikely to see a major surge. Still, his walk rate is the highest it’s ever been and he’s slashing .275/.362/.450 on the season, which will give him fantasy value if he keeps hitting cleanup behind Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. • Randy Vásquez strikes out six over 4 1/3 innings
Randy Vásquez allowed one earned run over 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in the Padres’ loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Vásquez’s lone blemish of the night came on a solo home run from Cody Bellinger. He would be pulled with one out in the fifth after allowing a single to Miguel Amaya, but managed to lower his ERA to 4.50 on the season and has allowed one earned run in two of his three starts on the year. His six strikeouts marks a new career-high for Vásquez, who will make his next start on Monday against the Rockies. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Imanaga dazzles, strikes out 8 in win over Padres
Shota Imanaga allowed two earned runs over seven innings while striking out eight in the Cubs’ 3-2 win over the Padres.

Advice: Imanaga was stellar again on a night where the Cubs only provided him one run on offense. Unfortunately, a disastrous eighth inning, which he entered with 95 pitches alread on the ledger, quickly went awry for the lefty, who gave up a single a two-run homer to Jurickson Profar in the frame to get saddled with the loss. Outside of the disastrous eighth, Imanaga didn’t run into too much trouble in this one, stranding only one runner in scoring position while limiting the Padres to only singles through his first seven innings. He still sits at a perfect 5-0 on the season, but will look to earn his sixth win on Monday against the Braves. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Volpe homers in win over Astros
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Volpe hit a two-run homer off Justin Verlander in the fourth inning that traveled 354 feet and left the bat at 99.6 mph. He also had a 104.6 mph lineout and is starting to see the ball a little bit better after a long cold streak. Coming into the day, Volpe was slashing just .163/.247/.238 over his previous 20 games with just one home run and a 29 percent strikeout rate. It’s pretty clear that the torrid start to the season was just a hot streak, but Volpe still makes quality contact and has been operating as the Yankees’ leadoff hitter, which will continue to boost his fantasy value. He’ll get hot again but also expect some cold streaks mixed in as he continues to fine-tune his approach at the MLB level. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago
