    • Blanks Twins for eighth win
Keller (8-3) earned the win Friday over Minnesota, allowing seven hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: It's the sixth straight win for Keller -- he hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in an outing during that span, pitching to a 1.13 ERA. The 28-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.16 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 74:22 K:BB across 13 starts (79.2 innings). Keller will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 pm

    • Secures 21st save
Helsley picked up the save in Friday's 8-5 victory over Colorado. He pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

Advice: Helsley handily retired all three batters faced in his third consecutive scoreless outing to gather his league-leading 21st save. The Cardinals closer has been stellar, suffering just one blown save in his 28 total appearances. Overall, the 29-year-old flamethrower sports a 2.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB in 28 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm

    • Knocked around in no-decision
Lynn did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-5 win over the Rockies, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Lynn entered this start on a roll, tossing a 0.56 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 16 innings in his last three starts, but couldn't control a shaky Colorado lineup. This marks the fifth time the 37-year-old veteran has allowed four earned runs in an outing this year. His ERA now stands at 3.58 with a 1.38 WHIP in 65.1 innings. Lynn is scheduled to make his next start at home against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:00 pm

    • Ryan Helsley picks up 21st save vs. Rockies
Ryan Helsley converted a save while not allowing a run during Friday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Helsley breezed through his inning with a pair of strikeouts and needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 21st save of the season. The right-hander has had a couple scuffles in the first two-plus months of the campaign, but overall there haven’t been many stoppers better in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Lance Lynn gives up four over four in no-decision
Lance Lynn was charged for four runs in four innings in a no-decision Friday against the Rockies.

Advice: All four runs came in the fourth inning, and all on the same play. With the bases loaded, Lynn allowed a three-run triple to Michael Toglia, and Toglia picked up a Little League grand slam as he scored on an error. Lynn struck out six and walked two in a mediocre — at best — effort Friday night. His next start comes Thursday against the Pirates, assuming the rotation order stays the same. • Keller stellar again, picks up eighth win Friday
Mitch Keller threw six shutout innings and got the win in the Pirates’ 3-0 victory over the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Keller gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his eighth of the season. Keller has now won six starts in a row and all of them have been quality starts. His ERA is 1.13 over his last six starts with a .226 average allowed. Keller now has a 3.16 ERA and SO:BB of 74:22 in 13 starts this year. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals on the road next week.

    • Lacks command in loss
Gray (7-4) allowed three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: The four walks were a season high for Gray, and he also uncorked two wild pitches, one of which allowed a run to score in the fifth inning. Gray's control issues have manifested with five straight starts where he's allowed multiple walks, and he's failed to complete six innings in any of his last four outings. The right-hander is now at a 3.21 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 82:19 K:BB over 61.2 innings through 11 starts this season. Gray is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates. • Gray allows three in loss Thursday
Sonny Gray allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Gray gave up two hits, walked four and struck out five. It was an uneven start for Gray, who threw 89 pitches. He had two wild pitches, one of which allowed a run to score. Gray also had a pitch clock violation. While his ERA increased to 3.21 on the year, his xFIP is much lower at 2.64. The 34-year-old right-hander will look to bounce back against the Pirates at home next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:51 pm

    • First to 20 saves
Helsley earned the save in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Astros, recording a pair of strikeouts in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley's now delivered back-to-back scoreless innings, striking out four in that span, after allowing four runs in his previous three appearances. The 29-year-old Helsley is now the first in the majors to reach to 20-save mark. His ERA is down to 2.33 with a 1.07 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB across 27 innings this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:53 pm
