    • Ends power drought
Arenado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Arenado went 11 games without a homer prior to Tuesday. In that span, he hit a paltry .222 (10-for-45). The third baseman took Andrew Abbott deep in the fourth inning to give the Cardinals all the offense they needed in the win. Arenado is still having a rough year overall with four homers, 25 RBI, 21 runs scored, 10 doubles and a .257/.311/.366 slash line over 52 contests. While the Cardinals' offense has struggled at times, Arenado has not been able to lead by example as much as he has in previous years. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm

    • Dealing with swollen finger
X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely. • Francisco Lindor dealing with left finger injury
Francisco Lindor is dealing with a left index finger contusion.

Advice: The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative on Lindor’s finger after he hurt it attempting a bunt during Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him get a couple days off for the swelling to subside. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm

    • Francisco Lindor goes deep in loss to Dodgers
Francisco Lindor walloped a two-run homer in the Mets’ extra-inning loss to the Dodgers in the front-end of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Lindor’s two-run tater off Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow represented New York’s lone runs of the contest as they squandered a prime opportunity for a walk-off victory in the ninth inning by wasting a bases-loaded, one-out situation. It was his eighth long ball of the season and lone hit in five at-bats in the extra-inning marathon. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:01 pm

    • Yandy Diaz moves down to second spot vs. A’s
Yandy Diaz is hitting second and playing first base versus the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Diaz has 231 plate appearances thus far in 2024, and 223 of those have come in the leadoff spot. He’s hit just .254 with a .686 from that spot, however, so Tampa Bay will move the 32-year-old down a spot in the lineup. Richie Palacios is leading off and playing right field against Mitch Spence and the A’s on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:16 pm

    • Lars Nootbaar returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Reds
Lars Nootbaar (hamstring) is hitting second and playing right field against the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Nootbaar was scratched from the lineup Sunday with tightness in his hamstring, but the outfielder looked fine in pre-game workouts and is ready to roll for the tilt against Cincinnati. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:52 am

    • Returns to lineup Tuesday
Nootbaar (hamstring) will start in right field and bat second in Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

Advice: Nootbaar missed two starts after tweaking his hamstring in Saturday's game against the Cubs, but he worked out prior to Monday's contest and is ready to roll Tuesday. The 26-year-old has a 1.096 OPS with two homers over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:45 am

    • Takes part in light running Monday
Nootbaar (hamstring) hit in the batting cage and did some light running prior to Monday's game against the Reds, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Nootbaar tweaked his hamstring while legging out a triple in Saturday's game against the Cubs and has since sat out the last two games. The outfielder told Denton that he should be ready to return to the lineup whenever the Cardinals give him the green light. The Cardinals are slated to face a left-hander starter Tuesday and have an off day Thursday, factors which could weigh into their decision as to when to reinsert Nootbaar into the lineup. • On bench for matinee
Bader is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old has a .281/.361/.391 slash line through 21 games in May and will sit for the first game of Tuesday's twin bill. Tyrone Taylor will instead start in center field, though Bader will likely rejoin the lineup for Game 2. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:46 am
