    • Helsley tosses scoreless ninth for 30th save
Ryan Helsley pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Hensley’s save was his 30th and he recorded two strikeouts in the process. His ERA is 2.61 on the season. Helsley’s well on his way to a 40-save season and anything beyond that would just be a monster year for fantasy. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Lynn tosses six scoreless, gets win against Reds
Lance Lynn threw six shutout innings and got the win in the Cardinals’ 2-0 victory over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Lynn gave up two hits, walked one and struck out six. He’s won consecutive starts for the first time this year. Lynn was excellent in shutting down the Reds and now has a 3.59 ERA on the season. The 37-year-old right-hander is set to face the Nationals on the road next weekend.

    • Hitting bench in series finale
Carpenter is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Carpenter had gone 3-for-6 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI while starting in each of the Cardinals' previous three matchups versus righties, but he'll take a seat Sunday even as Cincinnati brings righty Hunter Greene to the mound. Though the Cardinals still seem to view Carpenter as their primary designated hitter against righties, he'll head to the bench any time manager Oliver Marmol wants to give one his other everyday players a day out of the field. Willson Contreras will cede catching duties to Pedro Pages on Sunday while he replaces Carpenter at DH. Rotowire.com Today, 11:16 am

    • On bench against southpaw
Massey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game agains the Guardians.

Advice: Massey will be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed hitters MJ Melendez and Kyle Isbel as the Guardians send southpaw Logan Allen to the hill. Vinnie Pasquantino will replace Massey as the Royals' designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 11:01 am

    • Not in Sunday's lineup
Bader is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Bader started the previous five games and will take a seat Sunday after going 6-for-20 with three doubles, two homers and two steals during that span. Brandon Nimmo will move to center field while Ben Gamel starts in left for the series finale versus Houston. Rotowire.com Today, 9:27 am

    • Solo shot in Saturday's loss
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Garcia's blast got the Rangers within a run in the eighth inning, but they failed to tie the game. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of the last nine games, going 10-for-35 (.286) with three homers and four RBI in that span. He's still slashing just .220/.280/.422 on the year with 16 long balls, 44 RBI, 43 runs scored, six stolen bases and 12 doubles across 79 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • Resumes light throwing
Darvish (elbow) has resumed playing light catch, per MLB.com.

Advice: Darvish was expected to come off the injured list and make a start for the Padres on Tuesday, but a bout of right elbow inflammation put a halt to that plan. The right-hander underwent imaging that came back clean, and the fact that he's now doing light throwing suggests that the issue isn't serious. However, Darvish is expected to undergo additional imaging before he's cleared to throw in a game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:34 pm

    • Labors in loss
Gray (9-5) took the loss against the Reds on Saturday, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Gray allowed two runs in the third inning and then endured a rough fifth frame, loading the bases and yielding a run on an error by Nolan Arenado. He was pulled after the error at 92 pitches, and each of the three inherited runners came around to score before the end of the frame. Gray generated 14 swinging strikes on 92 pitches but failed to complete five innings for just the second time in 15 starts this season. On the year, the 34-year-old owns a stellar 2.98 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 109:23 K:BB over 87.2 innings and tentatively lines up to face the Nationals next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Massey belts seventh home run in loss Saturday
Michael Massey went 2-for-3 with a solo home run against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Massey’s home run was his seventh of the season. He’s quietly been one of the best hitters for the Royals this year. His home run off Tanner Bibee gave the Royals a 2-1 lead in the second inning, but it wouldn’t last. Massey is hitting .293 with an .843 OPS and 24 RBI in 116 at-bats with Kansas City this year.
