      Advice: Caballero looked to be the odd man out when Taylor Walls returned from the injured list, but he's started in three straight games and four of the Rays' last five games. In part, that's because Brandon Lowe (toe) has been sidelined, though the Rays have also played Caballero at third base and shortstop during his recent uptick in playing time.       Kimbrel earned a save against the Guardians on Wednesday, walking one batter and striking out three in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: Kimbrel issued a two-out walk but otherwise overpowered Cleveland with three punchouts. The veteran closer rebounded well after blowing a save against the Yankees during his previous trip to the mound.       Goldschmidt went 2-for-7 with a double, a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

      Advice: While far from a breakout on offense, Goldschmidt has hit safely in nine straight games. In that span, he's gone 11-for-37 (.297) with a 3:12 BB:K, two home runs and five RBI. The first baseman's power and consistency are slowly returning, but he's still striking out at a 29.5 percent rate, his worst mark since his rookie year.       Craig Kimbrel struck out the side and walked one batter on Wednesday to nail down the save against the Guardians.

      Advice: There hadn’t been any rain in the forecast, but a storm popped up early in the second inning and washed out any chances of the two sides getting this game in. The game will resume on August 26 in the top half of the second inning, with the Blue Jays having a runner at first base with one out.       Advice: The 25-year-old backstop extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with seven RBI. Diaz has yet to go yard since taking a foul tip off his finger and missing a few games earlier this month, but his current hot stretch has pushed his slash line on the season up to .271/.298/.415 with seven homers, 32 runs and 40 RBI in 69 contests.       Advice: The veteran second baseman pilfered multiple bags in a game for the first time since May 2 while racking up multiple hits for the 11th time in June.       Maikel Garcia went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Wednesday in the Royals’ win over the Marlins.

      Advice: Yikes. Garcia’s latest hitless effort leaves him with a .174 (21-for-121) batting average with zero homers and six steals over his last 30 games.     • Jose Altuve steals two bases in win over Rockies
      Jose Altuve went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and also stole two bases on Wednesday, powering the Astros to a 7-1 victory over the Rockies.

      Advice: As he’s done countless times in his legendary career, Altuve served as Houston’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, playing a key role in a four-run outburst in the seventh inning that ostensibly put the contest away. He got things going a couple frames earlier by reaching on a fourth-inning single before stealing both second and third base and scoring on Yainer Diaz’s run-scoring single. He also contributed a run-scoring single of his own in the ensuing frame before plating a run in the seventh inning courtesy of a fielder’s choice. The 34-year-old veteran fantasy stalwart has shown zero signs of slowing down and is really catching fire over the last few weeks, batting .365 (23-for-63) with three homers, 13 RBI and four steals over his last 15 games.
