    • Secures 15th save
Kimbrel picked up the save in Monday's 5-2 victory over Tampa Bay. He pitched a shutout inning allowing no hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Advice: Trouble seemed to be brewing in the ninth for Kimbrel as he issued a leadoff walk to Amed Rosario, his first free pass allowed since May 8. However, the veteran closer collected himself, punching out two batters before wrapping up the Baltimore win by inducing a Jose Caballero popup. Including this effort, Kimbrel has pitched 11 consecutive outings without allowing an earned run, firing 10 innings with a 0.30 WHIP and 12:1 K:BB. Rotowire.com Today, 6:46 pm
    • Notches seventh win
Burnes (7-2) earned the win Monday against the Rays, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Burnes dazzled in the series finale, shutting down Tampa Bay to collect his ninth consecutive quality start and 11th overall. The only blemish on the 29-year-old's evening was a two-homer yielded to Alex Jackson that drove in a pair of unearned runs. Overall, Burnes now sports a 2.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 82:22 K:BB in 86.2 innings while being tied for the league lead in quality starts. The Baltimore ace is currently scheduled to make his next start against Phillies at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 6:36 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel quiets Rays to notch 15th save
Craig Kimbrel tossed a scoreless frame on Monday against the Rays to collect his 15th save of the season.

Advice: Kimbrel got the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and managed to work around a leadoff walk to Amed Rosario by striking out Jose Siri and Richie Palacios before coaxing a game-ending pop up from José Caballero. The 36-year-old veteran stopper has righted the ship over the last few weeks since reclaiming Baltimore’s closer role back in mid-May by converting second consecutive save opportunities since May 19. • Corbin Burnes spins seven frames to defeat Rays
Corbin Burnes was charged with a pair of unearned runs over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Rays.

Advice: Burnes served up a two-run homer to light-hitting Rays backstop Alex Jackson in the second inning after a two-out error by second baseman Jordan Westburg allowed the frame to continue. He kept Tampa Bay’s lineup off the scoreboard otherwise into the late stages of the contest, outdueling opposing starter Ryan Pepiot in the process, to pick up his seventh win of the year. He finished with six strikeouts and only issued one walk. He’ll bring a stellar 2.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 82/22 K/BB ratio across 86 2/3 innings (14 starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the red-hot Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 6:32 pm

    • Struggles in no-decision
Ober escaped with a no-decision Sunday against Pittsburgh, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Ober did not allow a home run for the first time since May 12, but his recent struggles continued. The right-hander yielded three extra-base hits Sunday and has now given up multiple earned runs in five consecutive starts. During that span, the 28-year-old has limped to a 7.61 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP in 23.2 innings. Ober will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend versus Oakland. • Cruises to sixth win
Imanaga (6-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Reds, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Imanaga notched his seventh quality start of the season despite allowing a home run for the third consecutive start. The southpaw struggled in his previous two appearances, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) in just 8.2 innings. Despite the recent rough patch, the 30-year-old rookie has been excellent this season, pitching to a 1.96 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP with an elite 72:11 K:BB in 69 innings. He will look to build off Sunday's start his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend versus the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
    • Bailey Ober hit around in no-decision against PIT
Bailey Ober allowed four runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: This now marks five straight mediocre starts for Ober, who has allowed 20 earned runs in his last 23 1/3 innings over those five starts. It was easy to explain away Ober’s poor stats early in the season when he only had one bad start, but this has been a rough stretch. The tall right-hander saw his velocity up across his entire pitch mix today, and the Pirates certainly didn’t hit him overly hard, but he did allow seven hard-hit baseballs. There are no glaring red flags, and you have to keep Ober in your lineup for next week’s game against the Athletics. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:22 pm

    • Shota Imanaga wins for first time in a month
Shota Imanaga got back into the win column Sunday after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Reds.

Advice: He struck out seven. Imanaga, who was 5-0 through six turns this season, had gone five straight starts without a win, though only the last two of those outings were bad. His ERA stands at 1.96, and the Cubs are 10-2 when he pitches, compared to 22-32 the rest of the time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm
    • Not used in save situation
Diaz was not brought in to close out Saturday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lucas Sims opened the ninth inning before departing with two runners on base, giving way to Lucas Sims, and then Justin Wilson picked up the save. Presumably, Diaz was not used because he threw 42 pitches over the previous two days while working in back-to-back appearances leading up to Saturday's game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:11 am
