It was only Arcia's third multi-hit performance in his last 24 games, and while he's far from the biggest name to post disappointing numbers so far for the reigning NL East champs, on the season he's slashing .235/.257/.385 with six homers and 21 RBI in 58 contests.       Machado went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.

      Advice: Machado notched his first three-hit game of the year and managed to swipe a base for a second straight game. He drove in the Padres' first run of the game in the third, which makes it four RBI over his last five games. He's been extremely locked in at the plate over the last few weeks, slashing .344/.420/.492 with nine RBI, seven runs and an 8:11 BB:K in 69 plate appearances since May 19.       Manny Machado went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a steal versus the Angels on Tuesday.

      Pepiot (4-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Pepiot got off to an ugly start Tuesday, allowing three runs in the opening frame. However, he'd proceed to blank Miami over his final five frames while allowing just one additional hit while the Rays rallied for a 9-5 victory. The 26-year-old Pepiot now has 15 strikeouts over his last two starts (11.2 innings). His ERA sits at 3.96 on the season with a 0.96 WHIP and 59:16 K:BB across 10 outings (52.1 innings).       Orlando Arcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: The home run was Arcia’s sixth of the year, and he’s now up to 21 RBI as well. Both of Arcia’s hits were over 100 mph, but he’s slashing just .235/.257/.385 on the year. Still, he plays pretty much every day for a lineup that still has the potential to put up runs in bunches. That makes him worthy of a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.     • Ryan Pepiot has quality start in win
      Ryan Pepiot allowed three runs on six hits in six innings in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.

      Advice: Pepiot struck out eight and walked none and now has 15 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The 26-year-old earned 13 whiffs on his four-seam fastball and 17 whiffs overall on 52 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. His first season in Tampa Bay has been a success thanks in part to better fastball usage up in the zone. He’ll carry a 3.96 ERA into a tough start against the Orioles next week.       The White Sox placed Pham on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 3, with a left ankle sprain.

      White Sox placed OF Tommy Pham on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 3, with a left ankle sprain.

      Advice: Pham will be out of action for at least a week-plus with the injury, but there’s no timetable for a return. it comes shortly after Pham threatened to fight the entire Milwaukee team, but it doesn’t appear the injuries are related.       Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that it has cleared Ohtani, closed its investigation and considers him "a victim of fraud" at the hands of his former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

      Advice: Mizuhara pleaded guilty to bank and tax fraud charges Tuesday, per Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com, and MLB considers the mattered settled given the "thoroughness of the federal investigation." Ohtani has continued to produce as an MVP candidate despite the background noise and has 14 home runs, 14 steals and a .322/.392/.596 slash line through 58 games this season.
