• Elias Díaz launches two-run homer in win over A’s
Elias Díaz went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Athletics on Wednesday.

Advice: Díaz put the Rockies on the board early with a two-run shot off Mitch Spence. It was all the Rockies would need in the victory over the A’s. He added a single in the third and a double in the fifth for a three-hit day. The 33-year-old backstop is hitting .322/.361/.466 with four homers and 23 RBI across 158 plate appearances. • On bench versus southpaw
Soderstrom is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Colorado.

Advice: Soderstrom started the previous three games but will sit Wednesday as lefty Austin Gomber pitches for the Rockies. J.D. Davis will handle first base and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:00 pm
  • Heads to bench Wednesday
Trevino is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: After starting three straight games -- all against right-handed pitching -- from Saturday through Monday, Trevino now finds himself on the bench against a righty (Bryce Miller) for the second contest in a row. Trevino still holds a sizable edge over fellow catcher Austin Wells in OPS for the season (.776 to .620), but manager Aaron Boone doesn't appear ready to move Wells into a pure backup role just yet. • Notches first steal Tuesday
Langeliers went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: The slugging backstop got it done a bit differently Tuesday, with Langeliers showing some solid plate discipline while recording his second multi-walk effort of the season, both which have come within the last week. Langeliers' steal was also his first of the campaign, and with the pair of free passes, he's now reached safely in six consecutive games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:56 am
  • Homers in first rehab game
Murphy (oblique) played seven innings at catcher and went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run Tuesday in his first rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: In his first game since suffering a Grade 1 left oblique strain in his season debut with Atlanta on March 29, Murphy had been scheduled to catch just four innings, but he ended up staying behind the dish longer than expected. The 29-year-old backstop didn't exhibit any rust with the bat or in the field Tuesday, as he threw out the only baserunner that attempt to steal off of him and provided the highlight of the night with a 449-foot blast off the batter's eye in center field in his first at-bat. According to David O'Brien of The Athletic, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said that Murphy will be off Wednesday before starting behind the plate again for Gwinnett on Thursday. Snitker added that Murphy is also expected to get another start for Gwinnett as a designated hitter, so Atlanta is seemingly planning on having Murphy remain on assignment through at least Friday before bringing him back from the 10-day injured list. • Sean Murphy (oblique) homers in rehab contest
Sean Murphy (oblique) homered on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Murphy caught seven innings behind the plate and also threw out a runner attempting to steal second base in this one. The 29-year-old backstop looked ready to return to the majors in this one, but he’ll presumably get at least a couple more contests under his belt before heading back to Atlanta. • Elias Díaz returns to lineup Tuesday vs. A’s
Elias Díaz (hand) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Athletics.

Advice: Díaz is back handling the catching duties for Colorado in Oakland following a four-game absence due to left hand soreness. The 33-year-old backstop was battling the ongoing issue for a couple weeks, so the hope here is that the extended layoff helps put the issue behind him. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:57 pm

  • Returns to lineup
Diaz (hand) is in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Diaz missed four consecutive games for the Rockies due to a hand injury, and he had an additional day to recover with the team day off Monday. Jacob Stallings was starting in his place, but the former will return to the bench Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:33 pm

  • Idle Tuesday
Rogers is out of the lineup Tuesday against Kansas City.

Advice: Rogers will take a seat for the third time in the last four games. Carson Kelly will catch and bat ninth for the Tigers on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:51 pm
